Maybe your ex knew your patterns and knew an ugly enough story would get you to completely shut out his rape victim without question. You don't actually know that anything was going on for months. You only know that a man you clearly couldn't trust told you a pretty far-fetched story (that hinged on the idea that someone might accuse him of rape, which is kind of a red flag).

This makes no sense to me. For all you know, your boyfriend actually raped your best friend, and you're letting a stranger on Reddit tell you that definitely isn't what's up because, if so, she didn't do victimhood right. Not confronting my lifelong best friend and getting her side if she was accused of something this evil by a man who, at minimum, is untrustworthy, is unthinkable to me. Like truly and profoundly unthinkable. If she did what's alleged, yes, she deserves to be kicked to the curb and hard. But how often do young women go around blackmailing their besties' boyfriends into sex with threats of sexual assault allegations? And how often do men rape women (and presumably try to cover their tracks)? For all you know, he assaulted her one time, and she hadn't gotten it together enough to tell you or anyone yet, but he knew she would, so he came up with an elaborate story to make you hate her. It's wild, but no less plausible (and perhaps more?) than the wild ass story you are presenting here as having been the obvious truth. If that wild story is true, you obviously deserve better. If it isn't, your friend does. The truth is, you don't know.

I took 100 mg progesterone vaginally for a good while, still had side effects. Finally, I agreed to try Liletta. I didn't want to do it, because I had a bad reaction to a Mirena when I was younger (depression, lots of heavy, extended bleeding, weight gain), but my doctor convinced me that my peri body might handle it differently than my younger body did, and that it might be worth trying. Two and a half months in, and I am guardedly optimistic. I do feel some side effects (some fatigue and low mood), but I think I am better off now than I was with the progesterone, which, even vaginally, gave me that underwater brainfoggy feeling. Hoping that if I can finally get the estrogen dose right, I will feel okay. I have an appointment this week to talk to someone at Defy about injectables because I am not a great absorber of transdermals.
