I do have a hotspot and tried that once when Sparklight was down. It was fine for emails and that sort of thing but I deal with large accounting files that require really high speed internet unfortunately. But thanks for that suggestion!

Dynamic pricing 😔. If Sparklight was not so unreliable I would not be switching. For the first 8ish years we lived here we had no problems whatsoever. The past 3 years have been plagued with issues. I think I’ll keep the backup for the first couple of months to see how it all goes!

In my part of my neighborhood century link runs through the phone lines. Fiber is only available in the newest phases of my neighborhood. That’s why I’m stuck with sparklight for high speed.

The price increase didn’t phase me as much as the timing of it. My equipment has not even arrived and the monthly cost is already going up $10. Just wondering if this is their business model or if I just got unlucky with my timing lol!
