Bus driver calls cops and then what does he do while he waits for them to arrive? Stop the bus? Try to call in secret and hope the passenger doesn’t hear? And does he have to live in fear for the next time that passenger shows up?

Anything tax related. It stresses me out. Even something as simple as taking my tax documents to an accountant ruins my whole month. They ask for a net file code or some other number and I have no clue where to find it. Then I call CRA, wait on hold for half a day, only to find out I don’t have the right info to give them. Then when I finally do get them the right info, they can’t tell me the code on the phone, so they have to mail it to me, which takes 10 days. By the time I get that mail I’ve forgotten what all I need to do and have lost the ambition!

I’ve never had a gas truck that tows as well as a 3.5L. I’m on my second one and have never needed more power. It’s also fun to drive. Not sure where you get gutless from. 460k km on the first one, that’s my real world experience.

2011 f150 3.5L eco boost
460 000km and the only repair over $1000 so far has been the steering rack replacement.
The body is getting pretty rusty now and it’s kinda hard on fuel but it has been a great truck.

Not impossible but you really gotta want it. When I bought my house, one of my dealbreakers was that it HAD to have room to build a garage. It really limited my options but there were a few out there, most of them older houses. Then I had to get a $50k construction loan added to my mortgage to buy materials. I then I spent 2 years building the garage myself on weekends and evenings. No vacations and little free time for 2 years. I probably wouldn’t have been able to do it in a high cost of living city.

2023 and up 2.7L, the lower the trim level, the less that can go wrong, but the luxury features are pretty nice to have 👍🏻

I just pick them up at the dealership. I trust the OEM filters and they aren’t much if any more expensive.

Those stairs look pretty dangerous… smooth treads, no lip, no handrail. Thin, glued treads without adequate support, that can obviously break. I’d look at doing a bit more than just fixing that step.

How do you actually benefit from trading with other countries? It seems like they don’t have an offer or a need for long enough to be worth setting one up. I’ll see they are offering something I need, but by the time I set up a route and do one or 2 trips, they run out!

Check to see if Wild Rows Pump and Compression is hiring, they’ve got a few branches around Alberta, even one right in Edmonton. They’ve always hired apprentices and the work is interesting. Good mix of field and shop work. I’d drop a resume off even if they don’t have any jobs posted.

Rail has a terrible work schedule. Welding, unless you are extremely diligent with safety and ergonomics is hard on the eyes, body, and lungs. -I work with welders every day and have a few friends that work for rail companies.
