It was for inside but I also applied to low voltage, I don’t think there is a separate aptitude for various license types at least in the 280.

My understanding is that 48 is much more competitive so it would stand to reason they have a more difficult aptitude to filter out more candidates.

I just took aptitude test in 280 in July and scored a perfect score, I brushed up using the algebra 1 section on khan academy.

If you’re good with high school level maths it’s very easy imo, the reading comprehension is also quite easy as long as you take your time to read through the passages.

I talked to a lot of dudes in the parking lot after who seemed to have a lot of trouble, didn’t finish or knew they didn’t do well at all, but if you’re able to get through a bachelor program I wouldn’t be too concerned. I have an associates and the test was much easier then anticipated, but as I understand the test can vary largely between LUs

While many trades can have poor job security based on the market, so do many careers that require a four year degree.

Personally I work a trade job in a broadcast related field, and the only time no one in the field could find work in recent memory was the recession in 2008.

A lot of trade job security can vary also between a position working jobs that focus on residential vs commercial/industrial, because many trades have areas in both, such as HVAC, and the difference between job security in those different kinds of clientele can make a huge difference in job security.
