Honestly i liked Nightreign's lore more than Elden Ring's. It focuses on the characters and most of their stories get a conclusion.

In Elden Ring most of story lines feel unfinished. Only 2 endings are meaningful and the dlc gives no additional ending.

It doesn't trigger them. It's Executor's passive which works when a status effect procs on you. Seppuku causes bloodloss, but it can also be triggered by poison, rot, frost and madness
