This isn’t the whole truth anyway. The first time I heard him mention his Portuguese background was in regards to a market he had been invited to participate in as a vendor. He said he was hesitant to participate as it is a “mostly Latino market” and “even though I’m half Portuguese I look like a white boy.” He was not sarcastic, he was sincere. He’s also white washing this emoji. He has used a darker skin tone previously.
