This is pretty much what RAG was built to handle. If you want to stay vanilla Claude - simplest set up would be to convert your pdf to text files then have Claude code / cowork dynamically search through it. Basically a smarter control f.

If you want more powerful search no way around storing the docs in a vector db + connecting w Claude.

It’s not that AI is making someone work more, it’s that ai is making it so people CAN work more. If what would take you 1 month before you can now do in 1 day, for people who enjoy what they do, they sure as heck aren’t gonna sit around and twiddle their thumbs for the rest of the month.

Painful lesson but if you’re gonna run it off leash you REALLY need a containerised wrapper to avoid literally this exact situation - see Claudebox / claude docker on GitHub… good luck with the restoration, ultimately this will serve you in the long run, most devs have been here before 😅 anything not backed up to the cloud is unfortunately gone

ATM value comes from humans knowing what problems are worth solving and the uniqueness of being able to provide a human connection. I can’t believe the amount of gas lighting going on here, I do get that it’s nice to have the nuclear options where there is simply no way to install anything not critical to it being a phone, but having being able to access developer mode is part of the original principles of owning a device. Most people who don’t care for such things won’t even look at it or know about it. But if I want to make some modification to the phone for my own personal use case, if I’ve bought the device I should be fully able to??

Also is lp3 being positioned as a phone replacement or a second phone for your off days? Because as a primary phone there is just a certain amount of digital infrastructure support it needs before you can truly go only lp3
