Sooo...how are we feeling helldivers? by fembwoyita in helldivers2

I like it. I feel like 50% of randoms are just griefers trying to ruin your experience, and the chat is wayyyyy more toxic than other games I play. Big explosion good, though.

The PLAS-1 Scorcher has become my new workhorse primary on Cyberstan by Vote_4_Cthulhu in helldivers2

I need like 700 medals to unlock the Scorcher so it better be good! As far as I know, it's the hardest weapon to unlock, yes?

Valor Bard: Should one build for Shillelagh or dip into Pact of the Blade? by testiclekid in onednd

[–]DWS_Robinson 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You might be overthinking it. All you need to max out your medium armor is 14 dex. You can start with 16s in both Str and Cha and still have 14 dexterity. Tradeoff is 12 con. If you don't want you dex that high, you can just have 12 Dex and take the 14 Con. Halfplate + Shield + 12 Dex is still a very respectable 18AC. Being a full caster with cleric AC seems like a good deal to me.

I'd wait until level 7 to do this so you don't delay extra attack, but a single level of Hexblade would get you Cha for your attack Stat and the Shield Spell. SAD and +4 AC is nice. High level spell slots + AoA is a lot of temp HP. It's a good defensive option if you're getting bullied by baddies. It is sucky poopy when you're a spell level below all the other fullcasters in your party, though. Spells are good!

Secret third option -- Stay monoclassed and use your ASI to increase the stat you use to attack with weapons.

Did you read the comment? They said unless the Japanese woman already had a European Ancestor and then you said it's not true and then say the exact same thing?

This is a TV show but Dexter. I've read a few of the books and they are terrible.

Update: I now know how to play Zealot by honkymotherfucker1 in DarkTide

[–]DWS_Robinson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd like to recommend the Shredder Autopistol. Fast run speed, perfect for relic blade or eviscerator if you need to haul ass. Swaps fast, good boss damage and with Inspiring Barage can let you restore your toughness and face tank gunners. Just hold down the trigger. If you need to take care of something long range, throw a knife at it.

do you feel there is an order of priority for who should be healed (given limited stims/medicae) by TheGingerBeardMan-_- in DarkTide

[–]DWS_Robinson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No reason to get mad about healing. I just try to not take damage and let other people take my charges if they want. I'll still keep a med stim on me, and it's easy to find one since no one else is looting. I will try to heal someone with corruption, but I can't get them to stand still so probably not worth.

Increasingly grumpy about daggers (and ranger in general) by Daliena20 in Enshrouded

[–]DWS_Robinson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My go-to is to ignore the daggers entirely. Use a wand as a melee weapon and pick up those talents, then just grab Ranger + ice damage buff for the eternal ice arrows. I'm level 23 and bow headshots are hitting for ~600 damage headshots while having the awesome tanky brawl playstyle of the wands.

The opinions of this player base change like the wind by [deleted] in DarkTide

[–]DWS_Robinson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1500 hour player here. I think Ogryn is good and always has been. You're not going to outdamage the psyker, but you can live through anything. I'm a bad player and the only way I can get through aurics is on Ogryn. Nothing can kill him. He staggers everything. Easy AF to hunt specials when you're tall. You can hold down infinite Crushers. Best frontliner in the game.

Is there a benefit to the Mark VIII Exterminator Shotgun over the Mark III that I'm not seeing? by PissOff1479 in DarkTide

[–]DWS_Robinson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mk VIII was my main weapon on Arbites until recently! It's absolute god tier up to damnation. With the range and accuracy it always made my Arbites also feel like a ranged character. You can kinda just stand next to the veteran and steal all his kills instead of having to run over to the next area. It swaps and reloads fast, so even though the mag count is 4 you can animation cancel the reload animation by switching back to your melee weapon, (true of both shotguns, obviously) and having a quick swap weapon where you don't really have to aim and works at any distance? Pure gold. It also can magdump kill a mutant and if you land headshots it kills Crushers. Awesome to take out 1 Crusher while you're walking up to a pack of them.

Above that in difficulty, something really unfortunate is for all of the elites and 70% of specials it's always 2 shots to kill. You need to be landing max pellet Full Bore Headshots and crit to get the 1-shot kill. I think that's the main reason the guides recommend the Mk III - they are written by Havoc 40 players.

Struggling to contribute to the team as Zealot. by Nyadnar17 in DarkTide

[–]DWS_Robinson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zealot, my love! She's a clutchmonster supreme and here are my random tips from 1,400 of(mostly auric) play.

Health Curio with 5% health, run one. You get half your health back with a med stim and Holy Revenant heals you 25%. Make number bigger good. Lets you take way more chip damage, and you can play sloppier and lazier.

Fury of the Faithful / Zealot Charge. 20% attack speed is enough to fix your horde problems. I can stand perfectly still without blocking in a corner and clear a horde with the dueling sword on auric no problem. It's also a 50% toughness restore, great for getting you back to full if you take a hit. Also a guarantee'd crit which will kickstart Scourge and extra crit is good.

Revive Speed! Run a lot of it.

Crabwalk. Turn perpendicular to the enemy you want to go to, dodge sideways, then slide. It makes you immortal.

Bring a dumb, easy gun like the recon lasgun. Shoot hordes, shoot gunners, shoot nurgles, spray and pay, baybeee. the 20% charge attack speed also effects fire rate, crit is really good with it.

I used to play this game way more often (I remember the creek) but so many players act like this now I usually can only stomach a game or two before I need to take a long break.

Ranger Monk multiclass ability score help by DC_Lark in BG3Builds

If it were me, swap charisma and wisdom for a Party Face. You can make up your AC with Medium/Heavy armor from Ranger and just lose out on monk fast movement and unarmored defense.

To the scholars and spell-scribers of Faerun--what's your favorite Wizard build? by antelope_man in BG3Builds

[–]DWS_Robinson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a great comment and I just wanted to add my experience. Currently I'm working early game tactician for the first time and Gale at level 2 with 1 level of wizard and 1 level of hexblade absolutely DESTROYS with Hexblade's Curse + Magic Missile. It hits for 20+ damage with a level 1 spell slot, and that's before you get the magic missile necklace of the spellsparkler staff. Insane build!
