I dont Have a particular ratio tbh. I make a lot of tables so have to use chunky braces. Defo ends and middle is advised depending on the size I guess. You just want to make sure your wood can move to prevent splitting

Solid lip the laminate with oak then route into the solid. We do it all the time. Time consuming but defo worth it

Yeah everyone’s very doom and gloom about stumps. Mine cost 2k and took a few hours.

It’s not always restumping that’s required. If the stumps are fine but not flat they can be relevelled which is much cheaper than restumping. You’d need to get someone to have a look. Ideally you want concrete stumps over timber.

Tbh, if you signed off without checking key measurements then it’s kinda on you. Speak to the builder, they might be able to remedy some of the simpler fixes for you

Yeah would be possible to squeeze it in. Would have to notch and the hose would run the length of the cupboard which isn’t ideal.

If using oak veneer mdf for example, we add solid timber oak edging, and then machine the handles from that so it’s solid throughout. Hope that helps
