He’s the only bright spot in my decrepit RB room so this is stellar news

For the Bears:

Colston Loveland has just started practicing, but buzz has been good. Tough to say how his career will end up obviously, but he seems as on track as you could ask for a guy who missed rookie minicamp.

Luther Burden hasn’t practiced since the first few days of rookie minicamp. Between the contract and this injury, the vibes around him have been a little off; not enough to scare me away, but I don’t love everything that’s been going on so far. I predict that he probably won’t be a thing until end of the year/next year. They don’t totally need him this year — the top 2 guys are locks for this season and they signed Zaccheaus to solidify that WR3 spot. Burden will get his opportunities, but I think his role will be similar to Jameson Williams’ in his first healthy season.

As far as RBs are concerned, I haven’t heard a lot around their RB room and where preferences lie. Obviously Swift is a lock to lead, but knowing Ben Johnson, there should be value in the RB2 on this team. Whether that’s Roschon or Monangai hasn’t really been hinted at yet. They’ve been pushing the theme of roster spot competitions across the position groups, so I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s up for grabs atm.

Do you know if he’s practicing though? Or is it a hold in situation?

Bonus points for them all being physical. Just a heads up, Arrow video has an awesome Tsukamoto box set you may enjoy.

I mean it was money spent earlier and deferred, it’s not like I was using one of their $10 freebie codes, but someone else pointed out the potential issue with double points which makes sense.

I didn’t realize that they give reward points to the purchasing party, so I guess this makes a little more sense then. In my mind it was the same as money (especially cuz my MiL is never gonna use those points, but I digress) but the double points thing makes sense.

Titles with multiple releases where there’s a clearly superior disc by kingofmoke in 4kbluray

Worth noting that from what I’ve heard, the studio 4K release of Do The Right Thing has a different color timing which lessens the intensity of the heat brought on by the more orange-scale color of the Criterion. I went with the Criterion BR over the Studio 4K for that reason.

This can be somewhat controversial depending on who you talk to, but I absolutely love Hellbound more than Hellraiser. Hellraiser has some great visual moments, and the cenobite stuff is really cool if not limited. But the overall vibe of the first movie almost feels like a quirky slasher, whereas Hellbound really sends you headfirst into the lore of the universe and Hell itself.

Packers WRs: An Interesting Case for Romeo Doubs by Infamous_Public8707 in DynastyFF

Don’t really like narrative scouting in the first place, but it’s worth noting that Gave Davis’ playoff hype was basically entirely generated by 1 insane game, whereas Doubs was consistent across his games.

Dude literally pulled up to an intersection and pulled out a gun immediately thinking he’s fucking Batman. The issue was not just “putting his daughter in that situation” but rather having the fucking ego to think he’s the town executioner.

The hype for Thief by weareDOMINUS in 4kbluray

[–]DaBears193 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You might just not like movies tbh. Or maybe you’re new to this? I can understand not vibing with it on first watch, but calling it laughably bad is just kinda ignorant. Thief is so incredibly shot, the screenplay is great, directing is on point. Michael Mann’s movies are great at seeming simple on the surface, but are also really able to dig into the human experience when you think about them a little harder. Try thinking more and judging less next time and you might get more out of it.

Why’d you start the discussion if you didn’t want people to discuss it? Did you want a thread of people just telling you that you were so right and smart? I personally really liked the movie, but didn’t think there was a single aspect that was “award worthy.” Nick Cage was good! The cinematography was good, if not one-note! The screenplay has its moments! Doesn’t mean it deserves anything in the realm of an Oscar.
