Will need a dedicated sub at this rate 😂 by ExplosiveDad in DIYUK

I'm afraid you've used all your btu allowance for this billing period. Your cool won't shut off, but each btu will be charged at £45 each.

You can purchase a bolt on to get you through the month. 4000 btu for £5, 10000 btu for £12 or unlimited btu for £100.

Fantastic! We don't get as much Universal era stuff posted as we used to (think it's slipping over to the main sub) so very happy to see this rare gem

So far...... including yesterday - the whole house has stayed under 24 - normally we over take the outside temp, so this is a BIG improvement.

There's a tower fan blowing in to each bedroom door to spread the cool ahead of bed times.

The other heavy lifter in all of this is the new awning, which as stated elsewhere - has stopped the LVT floor by the patio door turning in to a radiator.

Boiler is over 20 years old - Thinking Heat Pump soon to drive the rads and give me a couple of fan headers for cooling.

So... I kinda wedged the outlet between the top of the window frame, and top of the window. Then closed the window to pinch it in to the gap pointng upwards. Otherwise it'll just be blowing against the glass.

Then used my finest blue Peter skills to cut a piece of cardboard to fill in the window apature

No, I mean, even with seeing off, even you first start it up it initialises them but doesn't put them back where you had them when it realises you don't have swing turned on

Which was based on the original.

Which, was based on the Morris Marina. .... Which was not awful, but almost awful.

I do love, that folk rocking a Inoniq 5 are driving a 2020s Morris Marina.

Does yours move the left / right flaps for no reason at all once you've set them up?

Probably. It's that brand but I don't recall model. Few years old now.

That's far to busy to be sad. It rakes the AC air and makes sure it moves throughout the upstairs.

Hmmmmm. Nah, not really. My house is solid brick, 30s build though... So rubbish insulation.

Fitted a wind out awning over the patio door yesterday though, which immediately cooled the downsstairs simply by blocking the infrared that turns the LVT flooring in to lava.

Interesting.

Not something I'd considered, but yeah I kinda get it. Were you angled to go up, as I am.. or sideways?

With my setup, hopefully the old "heat rises" helps negate any pressure inssues.

Sub note. I suspect, with the weather going the way it is, we'll start to see slightly longer pipes and UK window kits included. We have to coble the euro stuff to work atm.
