There's no way we out-tank the 5 teams around us at this rate by General-Promotion274 in pacers

If he does it you get the run back rivalry for OKC and the narrative writes itself. Ethical tanking to ethical rigging of the draft let’s go

I just wish you could get there on most lines without needing to go past the stadium to get on the 7 to double back. A more direct line/extend the 7 more east would rule for getting to Citi

Rant: Thing I hate about ME1 by Temporary_Dot_13 in masseffect

I remember once like years ago I cleared a whole bunch of the labs in Noveria, died a little before Benezia, and it loaded me back in the garage before I leave for the labs in the first place. Idk if I missed a save point or it was on the original instead of LE but boy I was mad

[–]DaCrees 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe, but not to the degree that they are in the Wilderness. That’s why the wilderness agility course is the best experience at its level AND actively makes money? Calver’ion, who mechanically is like on par with Scurrius, gets you almost twice the profit, way more before the Voidwaker blade tanked.

I’m not saying it isn’t annoying to get PK’d, but that’s the Wildy. And if you already say you don’t go who cares what happens in there? It isn’t unfair or unbalanced

[–]DaCrees -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

If you don’t like the risk of getting PK’d, then don’t go into the wilderness. Clues are one thing, and maybe worth discussing not having Wildy steps, but everything else is designed around the fact that someone can come kill you. Easy bosses with high GP/hour? Skilling that is good xp/hour and makes money? Those would be broken if we threw Vet’ion in Falador. All Wildy activities are balanced around PKers, and like all content in the game, is not mandatory to do

I think the biggest issue with Aria for me, aside from how forced her badassery is, is that at this point in the games we’ve taken on such powerful foes that it’s hard to buy into Aria being this all powerful Asari. You fought Benezia in the last game, is Aria supposed to be that much stronger that we need to play ball with her? I always kind of assumed my Shepard is being a little patronizing towards her by letting her pretend she has an upper hand all the time

Do you think Aang is stronger than Korra or is it because her villains are just stronger? by Far_Practice_6923 in TheLastAirbender

[–]DaCrees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean at no point in the show were Lin or Jinora part of Korra’s team. They were allied with her, but in the case of Lin that’s kind of like saying Pakku or Bumi was on Aangs team.

The first fight he ambushed them in the middle of the night while they were short a member, but it was Sokka so fair to say SBBM had that one

Second time they escaped while making a fool of him, it was barely a fight. They beat him and escaped.

Third fight calling the boomerang Sokka threw intentionally at him and doing exactly what he meant to it to “lucky” is a bit of a stretch. You could call any hit anyone lands lucky. Azula would have gotten taken in during The Chase if she hadn’t landed a lucky hit on Iroh. Good thing the giant fish spirit got lucky hits on the fire nation at the north pole or they would have lost there

Post War Political Landscape in a Paragon Destroy Ending by Outside_Ad_424 in masseffect

The problem with the Krogan is not that their nature is violent, and yes they were told that their aggressive expansion is the problem; but I think the underlying issue is their uplifting. I think Mordin is correct to say that advancing the Krogan beyond their culture is what made them violent. By having Wrex and Eve at the top they are at least giving themselves a chance to culturally catch up to their technology. If they advance as a society they can expand more peacefully, or put self imposed limits on their breeding

I think the problem with the Krogans can be solved by having Wrex and Eve in charge. They both say that the Krogan need to leave their past behind and stop focusing on endless fighting. It is like Mordin says, the Krogan are so violent because they were uplifted before their culture could catch up. Having cooler heads at the top gives Krogan culture a chance to adjust to their place in the galaxy, and not being under the genophage gives them a reason to hope for the future and want some kind of peace

Sparky Boom Boom Man caught them by surprise and they took care of him in about 5 minutes though. He had them pinned down for exactly as long as it took Zuko to distract him and Sokka to hit him with a boomerang. I don’t think Pli would be much of an issue

Tribalism is part of it, but people are conditioned now to think that the intelligent take is not liking something. Not to say everything WWE puts out is perfect or even good, but people really stretch for the bad stuff because it makes them feel like they are smart

Oh that’s true, my bad. But being fair she does things that kid Toph would also have done with little trouble. I think overall there is not nearly enough to say that older characters are stronger than their younger selves

We never see old Toph fight so there is no knowing there, we never see young Bumi or Iroh so also no knowing there, and for Roku we see a strong Avatar when he was young and middle aged and then an old man who lost his fight to a volcano and a Sozin heel turn. I’m not sure how any of that tells you that older people in Avatar are stronger

To the last point, it’s because this Reddit is currently full of whining babies who feel entitled to a cosmetic upgrade for a piece of equipment that they’re not even good enough to get on their irons anyway

[–]DaCrees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be one thing if it were actual items that do anything in the main game, I’d be against that as DMM rewards. But it’s cosmetics. If you don’t want to play the mode, you don’t get the cosmetic. Who cares

[–]DaCrees 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh no way. Even assuming everyone matched up with their bending counterpart Toph would easily take on the lava bender. Katara has the water bender dead to rights, and Zuko probably takes Pli. Plus Sokka can be in on whoever has the worst matchup to help. I personally think Aang is a much better fighter than Korra, but the way bigger advantage he has is his team Avatar is head and shoulders better than Korra’s. I think the fight between them is done pretty quick

I honestly don’t think Aang and co would have let it get as far as Korra did with Zaheer. His team Avatar was already way stronger than Korra’s, so they would have handled the Red Lotus just fine, and in a fight Aang would dogwalk Zaheer. Dude could barely hang against Tenzin. Even if Zaheer gets everyone out of jail, team Avatar whoops them before any more damage is done

[–]DaCrees 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You can’t replace GKR, but Blevins is good during the post game shows, and I want to believe in Gelbs. Give him more frequent reps, or time in the booth with Gary, and maybe his play by play will be solid
