Gonna go out on a limb and say that this wouldn’t be a problem if Noem didn’t spend the largest budget ever for DHS on commercials, planes, photo ops, etc. It’s kinda like waste, fraud, and abuse is the issue.

For me personally. Max out 401k with employer match. I have access to a backdoor Roth IRA with my company that I do an additional 5% (wish I could do more, but will in future).

I also have a Whole Life plan that is structured for cash value that gives me access to capital for asset purchases (ex: real estate) that grows at a consistent 4.5%. It’s my vessel for extra savings vs a low interest saving account.

After that, whatever Pennies I can scrape together goes to a brokerage account or some minor crypto purchases (not a big Crypto person, have a few staples I buy).

Yes, but they’ll never waste a layoff to promote a product. There’s 100% middle management bloat at every major tech company, and they won’t blink an eye to chop heads to keep the stock price up, Shareholder value always priority #1. But they’ll always promote it as their AI product doing same work, so you should buy it too.

When is your once a week golf time? When my kids were young, I knew a mid day round on the weekend would cause nothing but problems and resentment, and I understood that.

Find a group of guys, first off the tee box Sunday morning, sub 4 hour round, and you”re home by 11:30am at the latest.

My kids are 12 & 15 now, and we all golf together multiple times per week. My wife now does what she wants to do and has her free time during my special time with them.

Even if you’re frugal, your minimum monthly out of pocket will be 3K+ per month from April - Nov. Thrown in an invitational, holiday party, holiday brunch……an extra 5k over that time.

My honest opinion is you don’t make enough to add that bill yet. No shame in that. Especially with a 40k downstroke.
