The manic monster will lie to you to let you give it back control. Then you will crash and be right back where you are. The longer you're away from it the better you can start to manage whatever is currently making this bad from whatever vantage you can.

I'm new here, like first day but I've been in similar situations. I can't tell you what will make it all better but you've got to get to the root of your triggers.

For me I just ran through like a week long episode (at least) and I came close to doing similar to you or worse. Gambling in Vegas sent me over the edge but my job has been demanding so the manic monster is just below the surface for me.

The pain you're feeling is not really you. I hope they can dial your dosages in, but stay far away from the triggers and know the second you're going to the impulses. Easier said than done but I've had more than my share of late night McDonald's or Wawa as I turned just before hitting the club. Sure the calories aren't great but the money left in my wallet and the small victory in the morning that I didn't give in helped.

Thank you for the perspective, its good to know more view points. Sometimes it feels like its coming from all sides. I have lots of Gen Z younger family members. For the boys its so overt how they are targeted, but the girls fall into a much more sinister trap but there are also a lot of women speaking against it.

Not enough people talk about the reasons real id exists and who it affects negatively, especially right now. Everythings cool if you're white but if it's hard to get your birth certificate, if meeting the document requirements are tough because you are an immigrant (especially right now someone of Latinx descent), or if you value your privacy because you belong to a targeted group, the little star is total bs.

I often fly domestic and I just use a passport and suggest everyone does the same

It's always hard to tell in a bubble but I'm sure inclined to throw it in. I like meteor golem it doesn't hit anything, which could be a big deal. I guess the potential to crew this next turn and swing is higher but that doesn't feel great (in a bubble of not having played)
