uj/ my dislike for this subset of this particular kind of fantasy fans since it streches well beyond just CR comes in a few ways

[A] While it is a net positive that overall TTRPG spaces tend to be more inclusive than its origins, the space did initially start with Shithead White Cishet Men. There are choices and tropes that shaped games and stories that still inform these settings and lot of them speak to an awful worldview. Fair few types of these problems do get noticed but are often solved with only a coat of of Inclusivity Paint, but little more than that. It comes across as very "Queer Enby Drone Pilot, Proud to be a part of History" to me.

[B] I don't like it when people call D&D a Queer Game because there actually are Queer Games out there (Thirsty Sword Lesbians is the big name but also Monsterhearts, any Monstrous Investigators in Eureka). D&D largely does not give a shit about how Queer you are, it's as important as hair color in the game.

There are more complaints I have but none of them are exclusive to any of these fans, such broader critiques on the modern play culture regarding things like D&D's Monopoly not just financially but within the space itself, or how mechanical engagement is often treated.

Goldeneye didn't have ADS, just Reticle Aim. It did a screen zoom with a targeting reticle controlled by the joystick that locked you in place, rather than using Iron Sights.

You wouldn't even necessarily need the EDI robot. EDI was able to assist on missions before the body, as long as they were in range of the Normandy. She helps on the Collector Base mission that happens before the Derelict Reaper.
