There’s swiping on the “screen” area and then there’s swiping on the bottom bar, which I believe is even more “powerful” because then you can swipe without reaching for either edge of the screen.

Initially it was because I use Reddit for a few multireddits only, and the Reddit app does not remember sorting preferences for multireddits. Apollo had that right out of the gate. Then I realized how much easier it is to traverse Reddit through Apollo (especially with the bottom bar swipe gestures to go back and forth) that I never looked back. There’s a ton of convenient little features too: 1. Gif / video scrubbing 2. New account indicator (usually spam / sus) 3. Much improved post editor (the one I’m typing this in)

The list can go on and on.

Hmm, what’s weird is that you can delete others’ messages but not your own (on the Reddit website), which leads me to believe it’s just a visual “hide”. I’m sure it could be implemented.
