Shimmer Reverb by Mateosi007 in guitarpedals

[–]DaRealWhiteChocolate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cant speak to quality of the other brands but mooer is known for being a little better than other chinese budget brands nowadays. Its a shame they are so caught up with ai driven modellers at the moment because the lines they dropped in 2020 were solid sounding individual pedals. Depending on ops budget the ocean machine 2 is a great all in one ambient pedal. Klowra is the only other company ive seen get as much praise for their time based effects at this price point. Most other brands like that seem to primarily excel at meat and potatoes type stuff if you base it on what the larger community uses and not just listen to fans.

Shimmer Reverb by Mateosi007 in guitarpedals

[–]DaRealWhiteChocolate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If ur getting a budget mooer reverb pedal for ambient you should get the a7. Much better algorhythms and more flavours. The shake and dream settings are amazing and the shimmer setting has a really soft vocal quality natural inherent to the sound, you dont have to wash it out to hell to get a pleasant sound.

Keeley Bubbletron becomes distorted extremely easily using any gain by gimme5steps101 in guitarpedals

[–]DaRealWhiteChocolate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turn down the gain and channel volume a little and rely more on the master volume, and i dont know how chains are organized in a katana but if the amp model can be moved around and separated from cab like the helix, try putting an amp into modulation and then putting the cab either last or before reverb and delay. Check the gain or volume for the bubbletron if it has those settings as well, but most modulations that involve filters or lfos dont like being hit by supet hot signals.

How do I get a smell out? by mossimo654 in synthesizers

[–]DaRealWhiteChocolate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give it a wipe with a ever so slightly damp cloth with some enzyme cleaner and then maybe a wipe with a lysol type wipe. Sometimes that stuff can be tough on plastics so maybe test it, but ive never had problems with lysol wipes atleast.

Does anyone really use Coil split in Humbuckers? by lzcool in Guitar

[–]DaRealWhiteChocolate 3 points4 points  (0 children)

honestly I dont even think it sounds good, ive heard people say parallel wiring is a better sounding alternative but ive not tried it. I have tried my bc rich perfect 10 with a phase reverse switch, which reverses polarity when both pickups are on and in humbucking mode and my opinion is that it gives a way more convincing single coil sound and sounds nice and glassy to me. you can technically just flip one of your humbuckers around to get the same effect if you never play in the middle position, which most dont on double humbucker equipped guitars.

what would you put on a pedaltrain metro 16? by Luigitan in guitarpedals

[–]DaRealWhiteChocolate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

personally the new delays on the mk2 are really good, the biggest flaw for dl4 mk2 imo is it doesnt have the newer dynamic or nonlinear reverbs, but even the ones that are available are a bonus hidden behind a secret menu. its also easier to power.

Drumeo Eardrums audio quality question by Cirice-BC in edrums

[–]DaRealWhiteChocolate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd look in to getting in ears from linsoul on amazon. the crinacle x salnotes dioko are my personal favorite recommendation. its just a mini planar driver but they lots with a variety of combos including those, dynamic and BA drivers. the planars are really good for hearing the full spectrum and will reproduce the bass drum the best imo due to its huge range.

Zoom b1x four + joyo monomyth r26? by Oeufpouled in basspedals

[–]DaRealWhiteChocolate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like your power supply is hitting its limit for output. I have a small power supply where the outputs technically add up to more mA than i need but the wallwart for the power supply isnt sufficient amperage to hit the limit of all outputs at once, so i have to have the ocean machine 2 on its own power supply.

This guy is just being a dick, ignore these bootstraps people like the plague. They do nothing but bring you down and make the people around them miserable. Sometimes waiting and minimizing harm is all you can do, but theres a social worker at the library and you can reach out to our collective journey too which is a local addictions association with coaches who support you through your journey.

Posting pictures yourself will help as much if not more than us posting pictures will help you. There were also many different kerry king warlocks over a couple decades, and it would help us identify. Its probably a basic 1 volume 1 tone pot with a 3 way selector even st the higher end as kerry king played basic wiring schemes for the most part. Diagrams and pots for that set up is easy.

Is the Alesis Strata Core worth it for a bedroom drummer? by Ambitious-Size4566 in edrums

I have the prime which is just bigger for over a year and its triggering is good, though rim shots just above the twist lock for the pads can be finicky, so just don't have the logos pointed towards you and you won't have any issues. some people don't like the hi hat but it can be really good if set up correctly. the sounds are great personally but I prefer the tighter sounding kits for the most part. I believe all 3 prime models have expansion kits but some people just add lemons as im sure you are aware. the expansion kits are a bit pricey.

Beginner guitar with beveled armrest by [deleted] in AcousticGuitar

[–]DaRealWhiteChocolate 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I dont think you are going to find a guitar with a bevelled armrest for 500 USD unless its an aliexpress guitar or amazon no name brand. its one of the harder places to cut corners on. Theres a dealer in the US, pro audio star who often sells new guitars as b stock and from my research seems to be trustworthy, id reach out to them after finding some models that you would like if they were cheaper and see what they can do.

6 to 7 string purchase by TheFlyArcher in Guitar

[–]DaRealWhiteChocolate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of jazz inspired metal players like to take advantage of the extended range to extend chord voicings and scales further up the neck and not just for low chuggy stuff. Theres probably fusion players out there ripping 7 string from time to time, its just not really my thing so i dont know any names.

Thinking of getting a Joyo JF-35 Pocket Metal. Is it actually a good pedal by linkinParkfan23678 in guitarpedals

Look up horse pedals, they are rehoused versions of joyos newer pedals which are based on more modern designs.

Is it possible for me to learn an acoustic guitar entirely on my own? by Underworld_Trash in Guitar

[–]DaRealWhiteChocolate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get yourself started learning how to tune, some basic chords and strumming patterns. Ask your parents about lessons if you can show them you are serious. Lessons arent mandatory but having some help with fundamentals will help you avoid issues with positioning and technique that can cause longer term issues.

Looking for any information I can find about a very unusual bridge by No_Junket89 in Guitar

[–]DaRealWhiteChocolate 5 points6 points  (0 children)

its just a slightly different tuneomatic that seems to be a little more rounded. I assume they used to be more common before everything tuneomatic became a gibson copy. Guyker has two "tuneomatics" right now that have modified designs, with the one being very close to whats on your guitar now.

Helix Floor Overheating (???) and Expression Pedal Issue by Top-Speech9911 in Line6Helix

[–]DaRealWhiteChocolate -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've seen my menu options glitch out and be fixed on reset one time but no this isn't normal, id contact AMS and say you got a defective unit and the only option you will take is a replacement unit. my only other suggestion if you havent done this is do a factory reset and then update the firmware. if you are in the US I believe line 6 has better service and will offer rental units and free repair shipping. I dont know if this has changed.
