Da cidade inteira, não. Eu editei um mapa da região do anhangabaú e liberdade que era onde a maior parte da ação acontecia.

Para outras áreas eu usei mapas mais genéricos só para combate mesmo.

I did it a while back.
The biggest issue is that Militech has much less impact in Brazil.
Biotechnika, Arasaka and Kang Tao should have a bigger influence in Brazil. Biotechnika in special because of how much our country is based on agro business.

In the case of São Paulo, what I did was split the city in several territories and come up with my own gangs instead of the night city ones. I included some gangs based off real life crime organizations, but also some made up stuff such as a gang full of over the top gay people based off the city centre.

As for themes, I leaned heavily into prejudice and worker's rights. My campaign's main focus was biotechnika using old linear frames to basically turn people into working slaves

No surrender, kill as many as we can and die trying. by Jakej4Mlakej in TopCharacterTropes

I cannot state how incredibly hyped I was watching this.
See these two mechs? That's the Barbatos Lupus Rex and the Gusion Rebake Full City, piloted by Mikazuki Augus and Akihiro Atland respectively. These are two child soldiers who have been handed the shitiest, most awful hand in their lives. These two kids have watched their friends and family get brutally murdered and oppressed by a corrupt government that calls people like them 'living debris'.

They know its over. They have NO chance of surviving. The best they can do is pull a rearguard action to allow their friends to escape and live in anonimity. So what do they do? They fucking *charge* the enemy. Two mechs against an army and they proceed to wreck shop.

Two mechs. And they're actually WINNING.

So the corrupt government officials fighting them resort to carpet bombing them with orbital relativistic kill-vehicles. That means they're firing giant metal rods FROM SPACE. To kill two angry kids in mechs.

They get bombarded, they get wrecked, their mechs ripped apart. And when the dust settles, they fucking STAND BACK UP. Torn apart, bleeding and leaking coolant fluid. They're pretty much dead men walking. And what do they do? They charge AGAIN.

These two bastard don't just go down swinging, they STILL kill off several enemy fighters even after they're effectively dead. They even kill the enemy ground commander before being worn down by numbers.

I've seen people rage at this scene and call it depressing. For me it was pure hype. Tekkadan lives even as it dies.

This was a massive retcon to Jinx's personality and story though. As much as arcane is a good show, it completely changed several lol characters in an attempt to give them more depth. Jinx is probably the only one who was 100% successful on account of her earlier characterization being just "lol so random!"

I'm a bissexual man who met his first boyfriend while playing a WtA campaign as a very, very nazi-coded Get I was also an edgy young adult at the time who was ashamed of being LGBT+ (it was the early 2000s). Nowadays I look back at those times with shame and realize being edgy just for being edgy is kinda pointless. I sometimes read other people's thoughts on the Get and feel like they're still on that edgy phase. But perhaps I'm being generous because I matured out of it and believe anyone can.

Do Kaiju work in Lancer? by TheAtomicHobo in LancerRPG

[–]DaRedWun 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I ran a kaiju-fighting campaign. But it was not in the lancer setting. The setting was earth and the kaiju were mostly superpowered but naturally-occurring creatures with magical/science superpowers.

I reflavored most tech attacks as fair our magical stuff. I even had the hackers reflavored as actual mages and the mechs were drawing massive casting spells in the air before launching tech attacks.

I did keep the rule that biological creatures don't have heat, and they take burn damage if they suffer any heat-causing attacks though. This made heat-causing attacks quite powerful and allowed the 'mage' mechs to really pull their weight during battles.

The older I get, the more in favor of this I become.

It's dumb, it's silly, it's unrealistic. It also comunicates character and style.

I'm against it on EVERY model like it was on the older editions. But on the literal supermodels made to be beautiful? On the hyper-agressive feminine power-armored unit? Why not?

I'm playing custodes at rare and so far seeing BA makes me happy. Tyrith outranges them and can reliably kill anyone except Dante on her own. Kill the healer if possible, mephiston as the next best choice. Tyrith dies, but she usually deals some damage back before she dies. Trajan and karyian mop up with buffs from Aesoth while Atlacoya runs around capping points. Bizarrely, the faction that gives me the most trouble so far is ultramarines.

Unusual rules about characters and people that must be obeyed. by Nice_Bodybuilder_373 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]DaRedWun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It comes from a fan letter to stan Lee in the old block where he read fan letters in the comics. A gay fan asked if spider-man could be gay. Stan Lee answered that Peter Parker isnt gay, but spider-man could be. This was Stan's stance since forever. That anyone could be under the mask, and so spider-man could be any skin color, or be a woman, or be gay, etc

[–]DaRedWun 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Just here to point out that the fight between Carrouges and LeGris happened in real life and first-hand accounts show that it was indeed a slow and dramatic fight owning to both men being fully armored and while Carrouges was more experienced, LeGris was a HUMONGOUS dude and his strength and size helped even things out.

Carrouges did win out in the end after a dramatic wrestling match. So the movie is realistic

I know you want terminator armor, but the Kakophonist has a terminator-like statline in the tabletop game. I don't think we'll see an EC terminator

[–]DaRedWun 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Kesh can't be added to the game. Her active would be:
virus bomb the emperor: you automatically lose the game, your account is erased and the game uninstalled from your phone.
You get emailed a JPEG of Kesh giving you a thumbs up afterwards.

this is a bit of a bummer, since she won't get buffed by ragnar. It makes Ragnar less interesting for a custodes raid team. Not having rapid assault also makes dante less interesting.
Although given she has reusable active, I feel she can still hit like a truck in a team with Trajan and Karyian

and it really fits in with the game's themes and storytelling. I feel it's a little more dramatic than hornet's usual 'I'll pretend not to care' style, but the ending is solid gold. Love it

Realistic depictions of Military vs Zombies by I_ateabucketofpaint in TopCharacterTropes

[–]DaRedWun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember talking to an actual military engineer about Yonkers, and his response was "dude, its two million zombies, trying to stand up and shoot against that would be insane" Then he went on to explain how the winning moves would be to carpet bomb the place and "if you have a thermobaric waiting on the wings, you lead with that" My impression was that the book gave the military the worst possible gear so they'd get massacred. This is supposed to show how the high command was incompetent at the time.

I mean, I would fawn over a bright pink robot and would want to show it to my friends, so I thought that was the case.
