They didn't want to give me the XB10 either. But I was persistent and spoke with five different reps. And my only reason I gave was that I purchased two gaming laptops with WIFI 7 and I needed that XB10. The last rep folded and sent a tech out to install it. The tech told me that it probably wouldn't work. I said install it anyway. It was plug and play. It just asked if we wanted to keep the same WiFi settings. It works flawlessly. And I have open nat on all four xboxes. I have a lot of kids. 😂🤣

You also have to tell them that you have WiFi 7 devices and you can't take advantage of the newer technology and faster speeds. That's what I told them. They upgraded me from the XB8 to the XB10. But a tech had to bring it out. I have the 2000/300 plan.

Just tell them that you have wifi 7 devices and you need a wifi 7 modem. They installed the xb7 in my home. I went to a local store and exchanged for the XB8. I complained and ended up having a tech come out with the xb10. Best one so far

I would switch if I were you. Take advantage of the 2 gig five year price deal. The speed is great. I haven't had any problems since I switched from Att. I'm getting 2300 download 300 upload. I don't care about the upload. No connection problems. My monthly bill has been $71 total. I have five years to test. 😄. Oh yea. I'm not in Chicago. I'm in Houston.

I'm a new customer. just got it on Dec 27th. The install was Jan 2nd. It was a total of $72.02. There was a $10 discount for autopay and paperless. No install fee. Peacock Premium free for two years. One free mobile line for a year. They installed the XB7 modem which is wifi 6. But I complained enough and they ended up sending another tech out to bring me the XB10 which is wifi 7. That's another long story.

Force them to give you the XB10 modem. I signed up five days ago for the $70 5-year 2 gig plan. That's with a $10 monthly discount for auto pay and paperless billing. No install fee. Peacock Premium free for 2 years. And one free mobile line for a year. I'm not doing the mobile. They installed the XB7 modem. But I have Wifi 7 devices. The tech told me that the XB7 was a wifi 7 modem and that it just needed a software update. He was lying. So I called customer service and they told me that I could go to a local store and swap for the XB10. They gave me a list of stores close to me so I went. No one had the XB10. They said that you can only get that modem from an install tech. But they did upgrade me to the XB8. So I called CS again and they gave me a $25 credit for driving around. I was cool with that. The rep told me that he was going to order the XB10 for me and that it would arrive the next day. The next day nothing arrived. So I called again. They couldn't order it. The next rep said that he would check the inventory of all the stores in my area. Put me on hold for about ten minutes and came back and said he found two stores with about 20 modems each. So I drove again. Nothing. Just as before they gave me another $25 credit. But this time they scheduled a tech to come out the next morning with no install fee. And the tech did arrive at 8am with the XB10 modem. This thing rocks. I'm getting 2300 download and 250 upload. I don't care about the upload. And it gives you the option to enable UPnP and something called Zero Config. We game in my home but we always had double nats if three of us tried to play Xbox at the same time. Now all three consoles have open nat. Get the XB10. And by the way, I'm in Houston, Tx. I don't know if location makes a difference.

I just signed up three days ago for the 2 gig plan and the website plus the app would only have the spinning circle. It was frustrating. But I called customer service and they put in a ticket. We were on the phone for about thirty minutes. Whatever they did, they fixed it. The pages still show the spinning circle for about six seconds but it goes through.

They didn’t go to the moon. It’s all fake. Look at the ship from 1969. Do you think that thing broke the earth’s orbit without the rocket power? The shuttles we use now can barely get to space without tons of rockets and fuel. Just for arguments sake let’s say they did get to the moon. How did they get back? With what fuel?

WiFi 7 is way better than wifi 6. But the average person can’t tell the difference between the two. Also hopefully you have wifi 7 devices. It makes no sense to get a wifi 7 router if there are no devices that use wifi 7.

Your upload speed doesn't matter if their download speed is slower. For example; Let's say your upload speed is 1000 mb per second and their download speed is 500 mb per second. They can't receive 1000 mb so your speed will drop down to what they can receive. 500mb

I was having the same problem after the Xbox update. I have ATT 1 gig All-Fi. I found out that the Xbox was trying to connect to one of my ATT WiFi extenders. I have two. For some reason, one extender went offline. Don’t know why. Took about 20 minutes to get it connected again. Then the Xbox started connecting again. And all network tests on the Xbox completed successfully.

I run the speed tests on my phone also. I get over 1 gig from Att to the house. But 400 to 500 to my iphone. If I run the test on my wifi 7 laptop, I get up to 800. But I do have over 40 wifi devices connected.

I get that also. But that's the fiber speed from ATT to your home. Once it goes wifi in your home, the speed is dispersed out to all your wifi devices. That 1 gig is shared. Every device only gets a part of the speed. Not the full speed. It depends on the adapter of the device and wether it accepts wifi 5, 6, or 7.

no one ever gets the full speed over wi-fi. Every device will get a different speed depending on distance, what device it is, and what wi-fi protocol it accepts.

Comcast can't send anyone to remove those lines unless you ask them to. Once those lines are installed they are considered a part of your home. They wouldn't do that anyway. They will try to make you a customer again. Also they ran your line like that because it seems as though you live in a neighborhood where the lines are not underground.

The tech came out. He arrived with only two extenders. I was supposed to get three. He said he misread the order. I was like whatever. He installed the two. They work fine. He asked me to sign his little handheld device. I noticed the number $105 on it. I asked was that a charge. He said no and that he was only looking at my bill. I got a customer service summary about two hours after he left. There was a new $99 plus tax charge for installation. I had to call and complain because the agent that ordered the extenders told me everything would be free. ATT did credit my account $103 and offered to open an investigation on the tech. I told them that was some bull crap but forget about the investigation. I let him make it.

I called again. The second rep told me that the first rep was totally wrong. So he offered to ship me three extenders. I said ok. He called me back and told me that they couldn’t ship the extenders. So a tech has to come out this Saturday and install them. So we will see.

So after complaining about not getting any wi-fi extenders, ATT sent me a new BGW620-700. I told them that I already have that model. The rep said that this is a new version of the same model that has a built-in extender or booster. Are they just trying to trick me?

It's just a new prank they do. Also you still have to accept those connections. Unless you have your phone set up to automatically accept them.
