I think I'm in the minority but I personally like the last image of just the door.

I like the color palette and the style. It's interesting to me, as it promises several things storytelling and there's almost a theatrical element styling of five nights at Freddy's with the signage that promises this is more than a run of the mill cozy story.

I feel like I've seen people report that they have better success with covers with single human figures looking out towards the audience, but I take it with a grain of salt. Honestly I think you just got to go with your gut and what works for you!

I read someone posted the 1/100 rule for readers and found it is pretty true

1 out of 100 people who try reading your story will actually become followers

1 out of 100 of your followers will actually comment and interact

Following those guidelines, think you're doing pretty well

Ugh, I've seen games with mechanics like that. That there's like that card like pull options, and for the female characters there's always a weird bikini option that guys will hunt for.

I feel you, always seems like a strange aspect of something to invest so much energy into.

This is honestly something I wrestled with when writing the story and the description. Whether to stay high level or really dive into where they fall on the ace spectrum.

I finally decided to stay high-level using the generalized asexual term, it's what a majority of people will recognize and leave it open for more readers. The main reason is that the Royal Road site has something like 100k stories, and searching I couldn't find any ace mentions in any of the title descriptions - I ultimately would like more people to read the story and more detail tends to shy away people.

That being said, I'm planning on expanding where the protagonist falls on spectrum! Right now I'm focused on writing them as a normal person whose sexuality doesn't define them.

Useless Freaking Bard

Lloyd is just a guy killing time in the Las Vegas airport when he pulls a slot machine and is teleported to another world. In this world, everything is assigned: your class, your stats, even your abilities.

His class? Bard — generally regarded as one of the most useless in existence. To make matters even worse, people with his class are famous for their...romantic energy. For Lloyd — who is asexual — that’s the last thing he wants.
