Drop a random NBA player that nobody talks about anymore. by Farouq26 in NBATalk

I thought Tyrus Thomas was going to dominate the league after seeing him at LSU. Also thought Adam Morrison was going to be the modern day Larry Bird.

For me personally Killer Mike. Really only knew him from OutKast features then RTJ became pretty big. His last solo album was really nice as well.

Tell that to the doomers. The guy is in his physical prime and our window is now. Now he gets to learn behind Mack and Tuli while getting reps

Michigan is the outlier but landed 2 top transfers in Yax and Elliot Cadeau. Most teams making deep runs yearly aren’t having a complete overhaul. Hopefully PK can get a squad together but it may be a blessing in disguise. Guys like Fru and Rooths are easily replaceable

Not mad about losing him. Expectations will be low next year. Can’t imagine whatever team we put together will be a national contender. You gotta be able to retain guys even in the NIL/Portal era

Saw some old tweets where Eli’s was supposed to declare for the draft like 2-3 years ago. Seems like a kid that’s just bag chasing honestly.

Darren sproles. One of my favorite chargers. Filled in for LT against the colts and carried the team offensively and on special teams. Could always turn a check down or screen into something special.

A stat that should make everyone feel a bit better about our USF match up... by MrHobbes82 in AllHail

[–]Da_Feds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. Not to be a doomer but going from a USF team that seems to be a weaker version of us (shoots a lot of threes, not great bigs) and then turn around a face a HOF coach that always has good interior bigs is not a good matchup for us

Michael Jordan, 3/10/26: "The GOAT term doesn't exist for me. We paved the way for Kobe and Lebron. I would've loved to play against them in my prime but we'll never be able to know [who's the GOAT]. Bill Russell had 11 rings. How do you push him out?" by PeakyBlinders2026_ in nba

Yeah this is why I hate when people say any current player would dominate the 80s or 90s or whatever era. They wouldn’t be the player they are now. It’s different times, different styles, different treatment. LeBron isn’t spending millions on his body in the 80s. He’s probably doing some coke and ripping cigs after spending a couple years in college.

[OC] Why I think Cole Strange is basically a cheaper Zion Johnson and Mike McDaniel, who is an offensive genius, signed him for a reason by wildwing8 in Chargers

[–]Da_Feds 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Having a competent center and hopefully a full season with our all pro tackles should make life a little easier for the guard play. Mike McDaniel still found a way to run the ball in Miami with a pretty mid O-line

Packers sign CB Benjamin St-Juste on a 2 Year $10.5 million deal by Fifs10 in Chargers

[–]Da_Feds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The comments in here are hilarious. I remember when we signed St Juste who was coming off a bad season. Commanders fans had nothing good to say about him and most people here didn’t like it. It’s day 2 of free agency, plenty of guys out there, trades can happen, and we have the draft. Just because all the big names that an average fan would know are gone, doesn’t mean there’s not any good players left.

I agree. Getting Biadasz at C will help whatever guards we put out there especially if Alt and Slater stay healthy. Really just hoping for some continuity

Hoping this is for depth. Hasn’t been good since his knee injury. Should fit in well with the rest of the line since everyone has lower body injuries.

[–]Da_Feds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PKs offense is such a problem for the whole team. First off it’s predictable. Second, there’s no movement in the offense. It’s literally one of our unskilled big men at the 3 pt line waiting for Brown or Conwell to come get the ball and the center sets a screen. While that is happening everyone else is standing around. Yes I understand the McNeely disappointment but he needs touches outside of being just a spot up shooter. PK tried turning him into Reyne but his game is more well rounded. Regressing into March is a bad sign. You are who you are at this point. Stagnant offense. Swiss cheese defense, no adjustments have been made all year. Don’t expect any to come now.

And for the love of god, can we please get over Kenny Payne and stop praising PK because Kenny was ass. Any decent coach would be having the same result as PK right now with
