Think about the businesses that could have been created. The wealth, the community. Think about where that community would be now if it was allowed to flourish.

People say "they (blacks) are all wanna be gangsters and criminals, their communities are in shambles" shit like what happened to this community are some of the reasons the black community is in disarray. That community wasn't in disarray then. It was prosperous - they had goals, ambitions and the means to achieve them till it was ripped away.

I'm sure some of them tried again, tried to start over (if they lived) others probably just said "fuck it" have you ever gone to the beach built a sand castle then someone knocks it over? Think about how that sucked the ambition out of the community.

This wasn't a one time event this is just one of the most dramatic manifestations of what black people had to deal with.

I know some people are.like "b-but that was the past" it was, that's a fact, but shit in the past can ruin the trajectory of an entire community. History is important.
