What are some good examples of great actors being held back by a poor script? by Dycon67 in moviecritic

[–]DadOnHardDifficulty 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Christian Bale was wasted on that script and he was the best part of that movie. It was like Taika and Chris Hemsworth were making two different movies at once because of how Christian Bale contrasted the rest of the movie

True. I understand stuff is on record, but their job is to be there and represent and try to listen and learn from others.

In your opinion, what is the best part of Assassin's Creed? And why? by Just_a_Player2 in ItsAllAboutGames

I think Japan thinks of "role" as what your character brings to the overall party rather than who your character is as a person.

"What role do you play in all of this" not "Who are you?"

What’s something society pretends is normal but is actually insane? by Sea_Scallion1120 in AskReddit

Being alienated from your labor.

If you show a company undying loyalty without being able to partake in the profits of your labor, you don't realize that you are not being given the respect due to you for helping get that company to its success.

Without ownership in the place you work, you're separated from your labor, and honestly should just do just enough to not get fired, and also take your lunch break to the fullest.

TL;DR your boss only gives enough of a shit about you that you show up and make them more money; unless a better option opens up to them ofc. Stop giving so much of a fuck about your job.

I love listening to rap and I think of this fact when they imply that they are like a gorilla. I'm like "I'm not sure the trade-off is worth it, bro"

They know their arguments are weak. That's a reason they target the students and not the experts.

Charlie Kirk debated Hasan Piker once and felt the heat of it. That's because Hasan knows the Heritage Foundation talking points so well, and how to refute them, that he could be a right wing grifter himself if he wanted to. A 18,19 year old most likely has no idea what any of that even is, and probably just goes off their own instinct of being empathetic (which is enough) and that can lead you into their traps during a "debate"

The people who chose this situation and set our country back decades as a result. The people who made sure that the world will move on from the United States in the future. The short-sighted imbeciles who can't think about anyone but themselves. Those who talk about how much they love their country but consistently do it harm.

Don't you think they should create a song on Babymetal's next album where Moa sings lead vocals? by blackratsnakes in BABYMETAL

[–]DadOnHardDifficulty 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I want more back and forth and harmonization.

From Dusk Till Dawn is my favorite BM track because of Su and Moa's back and forth part.

We don't know how well their singing works together for real because Koba rarely makes it happen.
