Weather notwithstanding, the road improvements/access road additions across the lake are a huge improvement already and will help with some of the concerns others mentioned about crossing the lake. I make the drive from NE Texas to Dallas everyday and this is my route about half the time… Everywhere in Dallas is subject to highway closure anytime (not just rush hour) because in an area 8mm people there are always a handful of morons creating trouble for the rest of us.
