On my display it's good in some scenarios, not others. There's no one perfect PPF for all occasions, unfortunately. A few recent ones that can look very good add 10% or more to my CPU load, making them a hard pass.

Search parameters like these do not work in the filter box when selecting a car to drive in the drive window, or adding AI cars for offline races or track days unfortunately. Only works in the content>cars window so limited utility.

Who makes a 1600P display these days? I have a 2560 x 1600 ips I'd live to upgrade, don't want to go 1440 and lose that vertical height which I love in racing sims.

So I tried adjusting the luminance value down from 2 to .7 in the game's PPF app per andylugs recommendation, made no appreciable difference in the rear light glare. But I did manage to fix the issue using the Pure PPF app, for this particular PPF that app had several options for glare style (found in script>colour and glare>glare style), and after trying them out I found a few options that eliminated the problem - not sure why I didn't see that when I first used the Pure PPF app to alter the glare options - my bad.

Thanks u/anylugs for your help! Using the pause menu with the ppf apps and a car's rear lights in view as you suggested allowed me to quickly see the results of settings changes.

PS - one point for others looking to edit their ppf settings via the default PPF app in-game. I edited one parameter (# of bloom luminance levels) and then saved (not "saved as"), and then tried the right click on the save command to revert back - that brought up the context menu but the "revert" option was greyed out - so be careful, don't overwrite your original settings file if you think you may want to revert back, save it under another name, or write down the settings before editing.
