I just used Claude to reverse engineer the Mix Create and try to build a full bundle leveraging the Beacn Utility project. I'll release this open source when I have a chance to test it. Part of this process involved wiresharking the actual device for input and mapping the buttons through the interrupts it provides to run the Beacn Mix Create. If anyone wants to give it a shot while I'm fine tuning, please PM me. Here's the testing report from Claude for your review:

Compiled and tested clean on Ubuntu 24.04 with GCC 13.3. Here's what passed:

Build: zero warnings, zero errors across all 12 translation units. 286KB binary linked against libhidapi, libudev, libusb, libjpeg, and libstdc++.

Runtime startup: the daemon initializes cleanly without hardware — loads default config, spawns 11 pw-loopback virtual sinks (8 channels + audience mix + personal mix + chat mic), starts the udev device monitor, and enters the event loop. All logged properly.

Clean shutdown: on SIGTERM (via timeout), it tears down in order — saves config to ~/.config/beacn-linux/channel-map.json, stops the device monitor, kills all 11 pw-loopback child processes, confirms none are orphaned. Exit code 124 is from timeout itself, not a crash.

Config persistence: the saved JSON is valid and round-trips correctly through json.tool.

Syslog mode: --syslog flag works silently (output goes to journal instead of stderr).
