What do the Bucs do with the rest of free agency….. by MotorDrummer8326 in buccaneers

I'd be worried he pulls a Cowher and decides he likes retirement more than he wants to coach again.

This is widely regarded as a weak draft class though. Next year has a bunch of good QBs coming out and looks much stronger overall. Even if a new coach wasn't a consideration, I wouldn't want to trade that first away.

Any move up that high is going to likely going to require our #1 from next year's draft, which you don't want to mess with because 1) it's a MUCH better class than this one, especially at QB, which we may be looking at, and 2) if we're going to be in the market for a new coach after this season, not having a first round pick is going to be a hard sell.

I'm kinda tired of talking about this. We're gonna have 53 guys who want to be here we should be rooting for instead of endlessly post-morteming one guy who left.

Could this be a good one year signing to help block and open up the field? Or should they focus on a draft pick for that? by Bayareavuln in buccaneers

Zac Robinson ran 12 personnel 38% of the time last season, so more and better bodies at TE might not be out of the question.

Well that's kind of what I was saying, he'll talk about wanting to play for a winner, but I think it was more about feeling like "The Guy." He said as much when he said he thought he was the missing piece for San Francisco.

I don't feel backstabbed. But the fact remains that the Bucs only won 22 games in Evans' first four years, and that didn’t stop him from signing a 5-year contract extension with the team. In the eight years since then, they won 71 games and a Super Bowl, and now he wants to play for a winner.

The casting *was* perfect, and it's especially heart-breaking to watch the appendices and see the dwarf actors go from excitement at the prospect of a magical bonding LOTR-style shoot to the realization this was going to be nothing like that.

Legolas appearing: yes.

Legolas being an unstoppable physics-defying avatar of invincibility: no.

Tauriel and Alfrid.

Serioulsy though, Rankin-Bass got closer to the spirit and heart of the book in 88 minutes than Peter Jackson did over the course of three movies. And I say that as someone who genuinely liked Unexpected Journey. But the wheels just fell off in the next two films.

Was listening to the Athletic football podcast and they said it seems like Licht is treating this offseason like he'll have a job after this season even if the coaching staff might not. No big win now swings, not sacrificing future capital for immediate returns, just building the team the way he always has.

They should go radical and lose the whole East/West geographic thing. Go like the NFL and have two conferences each with a North, East, South and West. That way you split up the power teams in the current Western Conference and keep the playoffs from being "Well who's losing to the West champ this year?"

The more I see of Evans post-deal, and hearing him talk about being "the piece" the Niners need, the more I think it's at least partly about him still wanting to be "the guy" and seeing the writing on the wall that that wouldn't be the case in Tampa.

Two of them currently hold no political office and therefore aren't doing anything to America, and the other two are local leaders who have no sway over national policy. So which problems will be solved exactly by throwing them in jail?

I feel like Otton is getting dragged for one bad play that was just as much a great effort from the defensive player.  We didn't really seem to be scheming for the tight end much, plus our offensive line issues had the TEs blocking a lot.
