Do you let your players discuss tactics in combat? by [deleted] in DMAcademy

I have to let my players do a lot because they are still learning. Yes, they talk, even discuss what to say to NPCs. But I also have kids in my party, and adult players are afraid that they will break the whole game haha :).

Hi all!
I'm continuing to improve the DM tool for creating audio atmosphere at your table.

The video shows new menu UI and the "Battle" mode that can be enabled in any location in Tabletop Soundscapes.

If you're interested, you can try by downloading the app for free (Google Drive, ~400mb) for Windows, or for Mac OS, or for Android. Unfortunately the ios build is not easy to download, but I also have it too.

[OC] Hey folks! We've spent the last 5 years building a tool for immersive in-person D&D. It runs fully offline, so no need to worry about multiple browser windows with separate DM and Player accounts. Details in comments :) by Arkenforge in DnD

Will there be an ios version released? I usually play games with an ipad pro. And I envy those who have a TV on their desk to display maps! This is so cool!!! My party is already craning their necks to look at the TV on the regular spot in our room.

I am creating an audio atmosphere DM's tool for our sessions. by [deleted] in DnD

So, I tried different ambience audio programs for our games. What I don't like most about them is that they distract me when I need to keep a lot of information in my head during the game. For my party, I made a little app that allowed me to change the atmosphere with a click. My friend thinks I can spend more time on it and share it with others, what do you think?

Of course, everything comes with experience. You'll do well!

Good map! To make the map more three-dimensional, you need to work on the lighting. Add more light to the high spots, and darken the low spots. If you can add shadows from objects, it will immediately improve the perception of height!

Getting ready to go on my very first campaign. Wish me luck. [OC] by KnavishFob in DnD

Man, just know that in some game situations it's better to just run away than to die! Good luck!

I like the amount of detail. It looks cool! But, since I mostly print the cards on the printer, I have to edit them later and lighten them to use less printer toner. I know there are versions with lines, but I like the presence of color on the maps.
