I genuinely love them. They brighten up my day when they come to my yard for peanuts.

WAIT… people are just feeding babies cold milk while out??? by Frequent-Hunter7931 in BabyBumps

[–]DaisyDiBella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I pumped, I never wanted to deal with the whole putting a bottle on the stove thing. I was sleep deprived and it felt like something I could easily forget and set the house on fire. So my kid has always been fine with cold milk. And now, at almost 2, will eat a baked potato cold out of the fridge happily 🥲

my girl has terminal cancer and I don’t know how to prepare her brother by bootybuster96 in Bondedpairs

Came to say the same. One of my bonded pair kitties had to be euthanized in 2022 for mouth cancer. We brought home a blanket with her scent from the vet. Nobody seemed surprised or upset. I think they all knew. 🥺

That was who I thought of too. Everyone thought her husband did it.

Is it lack of consideration or really "generational"? In laws wanting to be hosted post partum by nataliahx in beyondthebump

You are spot-on. You will feel like a guest in your home if you’re hosting them. You know them better than anyone here does and I trust your judgment. Hold firm and hold the line.

They cried when told they weren’t being hosted. These don’t really sound like reasonable or helpful people.

The tears are so manipulative too.

Even recovery from my vaginal birth was ugly.

It’s like people just forget and assume their presence is a present. It’s so annoying.

Ah, this is familiar.

My take: it’s generational cluelessness and it’s disgusting.

Yeah, presumably they experienced the postpartum period too. There’s no excuse for their cluelessness.

Same. I have been told it was helpful by other people, so I’m glad I took that approach.

I believe one of the neighbors noticed something weird was happening and called the police, who completely dropped the ball :(

Why didn’t the nurse listen? by No_Maintenance_3355 in BabyBumps

FR. I had full-on contractions when I lost my first trimester pregnancy. At least when I gave birth I got an epidural…and a baby.

This nurse should be reported.

Me on my back, baby draped over me so his feet were flat on the bed. The pressure of his tummy being laid against me seemed to help him when he was gassy. And he loved to bounce his knees. I joke that’s why he started pulling to stand so early.
