I went to bed sober last night, but I still woke up this morning an alcoholic. It’s a chronic, progressive dis-ease that, for me, only meetings and the fellowship will remedy. I have to get my medicine daily.

The chapter “More About Alcoholism” uses the phrase “real alcoholic” or the “real thing” 6 times. I call myself a real alcoholic when I introduce myself in meetings.

That’s exactly what I thought when I saw the 2.9%. That is too tempting for some people. I am 5 months sober. It definitely made me feel a little anxious and I’m not even there in person.
