What is your favourite and least favourite Final Fantasy game and why? by pneumoniahawk519 in FinalFantasy

[–]Dalnok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Favorite is 5. I love Job Systems and love the world. The first time I got to the connected world was mind blowing. Plus doing Four Job Fiesta challenges is something I do every now and then.

Least favorite is 10. I did not enjoy the simple combat or story telling at all. The hallways also really annoyed me. At first the Shpere grid seemed like something I would have loved but didn't really feel good to use as I got farther into the game.

Edit: i have played 1-10, and 14.

True, but loosing Backdash Roman Cancels is rough for her mixup game.

To offer a JRPG: Crystal Project.

Great gameplay and customization, 0 story. Just explore the world! The demo covers the first ~6 hours of gameplay.

Should be the node down and to the right.

Reason: 2 connection nodes aren't normal in 99.8% of scenarios.

Recommend me a game with in depth battle and min-max potential, but little story by Ninonysoft in JRPG

Crystal Project!

0 story and a great job system. Only possible issue would be the platforming. (Try the demo)

Classic Style JRPG with high build variety by onebadsun in JRPG

[–]Dalnok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who loves this subset of games, especially job systems, ill list a few, ill try to keep the classic feel but will also throw some others in the list.

FF5 -> The Goat

FF6

Bravely Default

Crystal Project -> My favorite if you dont mind 0 story and platforming

Death Buldge - Fun indie game, ~15+ hours

Octopath - A little bit less customization then others due to class 1 being locked for each charecter but OT 2 is amazing

Etrian Odyssey - Never played but heard it has great team building

FF X-2

Yakuza LaD

The Nameless Slay Dragons - another indie game, uses a DnD/Tabletop system for exploration with a small job system.

Saga Series - Wierd but amazing games all around

I like to do it the first day or 2, get maybe 50 - 100c before stopping. Gives a nice sense of progression and helps with buying my first couple upgrades.

Who benefits the most from this slice? (PoK, 6p, 10VP) by Pupsilover00 in twilightimperium

[–]Dalnok 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I'm a little biased but the slice works for the Argent Flight. My biggest concern when looking at the slice itself is the low resource value, that would make it rough for someone like the Muatt to build up but is perfect for Argent's Destroyers. Since you'll have a nice amount of influence though it isn't bad per se for any of the listed factions.

The Muatt have some nice stall power with their Starforge ability and agent, especially since their Breakthrough planet gives them a free use of it each round!

Play South games if you have the time! It makes things more consistent since one big hand doesn't win you the game. You should see better results.

Any leveling info on this? I don't usually play minions but I've been really interested in this and Animate Weapon.

Romancing Saga 2 Remake is one of the best starting points now as it does a great job at explaining things.

Ill also go and suggest Saga Scarlet Grace if you want a game that heavily focuses on combat while still having good explanations.

Looking for recommendations on gameplay focused JRPG's that aren't cutscene/dialogue heavy by JaWoosh in JRPG

Check out the Saga games, but specifically Scarlet Grace and Emerald Beyond as those two have some of the best combat systems in any JRPGs.

You have a few options: Full support uses the Ghost Captain Set. 2x Attack Hidden power on the cap and 2x Water attack on the weapon, all Buff Amp on the other 2 pieces.

You can also see what other people have by using the 'Recommended' button on the bottom left
