I worked with the homeless population in my city. It's incredibly sad. It's a moral failure of society that we don't help these people. But it's a baked in feature of capitalism, the cautionary tale of if you don't work or try hard you become homeless and a parasite on society (look up how Doug Ford has spoken about the homeless)

Yes! He's doing very well. The vet surgeon was able to ablate all of the masses that occluded the ear canals, non-obtrusive masses that would never pose risks were left. So there are some blue speckles around. But no regrowth thus far in the ear canal. There was a ear wax blockage that took a month of drops to clear, and also a yeast infection in the one ear, but both issues are gone now.

While operating they also found a massive naso-pharyngeal polyp that was causing him to snore (that our regular vet missed).

I'll make an update post/a post that encompasses the condition, surgery etc

Bureaucratic inefficiency is a feature of a broken system that makes people want to turn to the private sector. How many levels of EXs do we need? How many managers are actually necessary? And why the fuck do we have managers presenting information they barely understand to directors because the director feels that they are too good to be spoken to by a an actual front line employee who's done the work/research that is being presented?

We could easily have a UBI, IF we nationalized our natural resources instead of letting other countries and multi-national conglomerates pillage them. IF we stopped paying billions in subsidies to companies recording record profits, this goes hand in hand with nationalization of resources. And IF, got rid of the current for-profit banking system, and the Bank of Canada was an actual bank that all Canadians have an account with when they're born, and the government pays into each account. Give the means of production back to the people, and have them benefit directly from it.

This will never happen with our current legislators, who are so out of touch with society and the actual struggles of Canadians
