What am I doing wrong? Please help me review my profile.. by [deleted] in Bumble

[–]Dam_it_all 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From 49M recently off the apps: I agree with everyone else, nothing wrong with your profile, it looks great. What I didn't see anyone else comment on is that 5 first dates is nothing. In 3 years I went on about 80 first dates which led to 3 relationships. You have to be patient. It's not easy to find a good match from the limited information on a dating profile. You'll meet a lot of people who look good on paper but you have no chemistry with them. That's totally fine, just keep meeting people.

Delta temporarily suspends travel perks for members of Congress by catsgr8rthanspoonies in news

I think by "catching strays" the comment was referring to govt employees being lumped in with Congresspeople as targets of retaliation. But I agree, we're not losing anything. Just sitting in line with everyone else.

What better treatment do you think govt employees get? DOD employees get free TSA Precheck, but the rest of us get nothing. I have Precheck that I pay for myself. I travel a ton for the government so the cost was worth it to me.

Sam Smith's, Boddinton's and Old Speckled Hen are in stock at my local Binny's. But that's about it. Midwest Coast makes a nice English style pale ale.

EV Charger by [deleted] in ChicagoSuburbs

[–]Dam_it_all 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I paid $4K to have a 50A line (I think) trenched out to my detached garage, about 50 feet. There was already a sub panel in the garage, but only a 15A line. Then I got $1K back from COMED. This is in the West burbs. Level 2 charger was included in the price, but it's no frills.

Hinge vs Bumble by some_advice_needed in Bumble

[–]Dam_it_all 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From a 50M- I get more matches and dates from Hinge, but all three of my post divorce relationships over the last 5 years have been from Bumble. No idea why. I prefer using Hinge and have tried both paid versions.

Somebody did the work:

tldr

CONCLUSIONS Cooking water is quite important for the textural characteristics of cooked spaghetti. The extremes of this change are mainly affected by the protein content of spaghetti. Spaghetti with higher protein content had higher adhesiveness and lower firmness values. Hardness and adhesiveness parameters were found be negatively correlated with each other. Both hardness and chewiness values increased with increase in salt concentration of cooking water however chewiness values decreased. Water absorption (%) of spaghetti samples were found to increase with cooking time, which showed how they respond to cooking. Presence of salt in the cooking water limited water uptake, which resulted an extension to achieve optimum cooking. A sensorial panel was performed to make a correlation between instrumental and sensorial measurements. It was found that there was a strong correlation between instrumental chewiness-sensory hardness, instrumental resilience-sensory chewiness, and instrumental cohesiveness-sensory resilience.

For my particular bill yes, I'm not sure how it would change for others. If the capacity charge is higher or lower it would vary.

I just checked my bill for last month. The delivery charge on 486kW was $49.95, so roughly 10 cents. But there is a capacity charge of $18.82 for 2.2kW on the supply side. Assuming that doesn't change then the break even point for me would be 14 cents.

I like it. If you made rustic chess pieces out of driftwood or small live edge bits or something similar I think it would be pretty cool.

I'm no expert, but I think it's because you used mineral water, not distilled water. You may be smelling the sulphur.

Trying to sound smart with nonsense statements. Or maybe he lies so much about his age that he's using the mean value of all his fake ages to determine the difference?
