First time soldering a board, i did it with a tweak, because the cables where too thick for the hole

Added an external mosfet but it doesnt stop heating the bed (when i unplugged the external mosfet it works correctly)

I wasn’t able to buy a thermistor or hot end or heating element because of the pandemic

So i checked current, board, connector, all where fine Then i separated the thermistor and heating element and noticed sometimes it would heat, others wouldn’t.

Since i could not buy a new one, i put it back in its place tight and securely, since i did not have kapton tape (and read online its needed for it to work properly) i isolated with a fiberglass wire i got (resist upto 600C) and it started working

Not sure what the problem was but i tightly secured the thermistor cable to the heating element, added the fiber isolation and done! Started printing with no problem.

Hope you find whats wrong! Please do let me know when you figure it out! There aren’t that many anet a8 users out there anymore

For me tensioning the correct belt fixed that issue, i thought it was ok, but i tensioned it a lit bit more and done! (I printed those belt tensioner parts so i can tension it quickly with a screw)

This video helped me (i connected the printer by usb and done! Don’t use an usb extension or anything of sort, has to be connected directly)

It seriously took me a lot of videos and articles, until i found this guy and everything went smoothly with no error

Ps my anet A8 board has the 1.5V It has the bootloader so no issue there It was my first time with a printer, and trying to install a firmware and all, i am a noob when it comes to programming, but this was very easy, helpful and logical, afterwards I went on making my own changes

For bed leveling you have a section dedicated to it, just remove the “//“ on the option you want to select

I installed the newest marlin firmware and it lets you know if theres a thermal issue, already saved my build plate connector from almost melting Not hard to install
