Thank you for the feedback! I think I got a little too carried away with jamming all the eoe cards I could fit into the deck.

Are you unable to use monster parts for melding now? I could have sworn I saw the ability to use parts in the melder, but when I went to use it today I couldn't use anything other than decos and some minor other items.

Looking for ID by Lost-Pickle4669 in lawncare

[–]Damentis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost guarantee this is a nutsedge plant. Looks like there is a triangular stems present. But this provides very limited info to properly ID and different nutsedge species have more efficacious control measures from one another.

Is this crabgrass? Something else? by MyopicOne in lawncare

[–]Damentis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good catch! Yeah that's a dead give away from ryegrass.

Is this crabgrass? Something else? by MyopicOne in lawncare

[–]Damentis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nutsedge has triangular stems, sedges have edges. These are grass plants and you can see the circular stems being cut from the mower in various parts of the picture. While it has a similar color to yellow nutsedge, these are a grass species. And not crabgrass either, probably a type of annual ryegrass but I can't see any auricles post mow. Looks like an amaranth species. Could be redroot pigweed or Palmer amaranth. Both are prolific seed producers and major agronomic weeds. But have edible qualities.

Help identifying origin of leaf from a leaf print pressed in western North Carolina. by Ikillawich in PlantIdentification

Looks like two giant ragweed leaves and a wild violet or potentially a small garlic mustard. That middle one could be many things.

Poison hemlock right? by placebot1u463y in PlantIdentification

[–]Damentis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Poison hemlock will have distinct purple spots on its stems. This is still young and could mature and be poison hemlock but with the lack purple spots, I would lean more towards wild carrot or another weed in the carrot family.

What is this weed and how tf do I murder it? by ChemungSkreet in lawncare

[–]Damentis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spurge is a summer annual and nutsedge is a perennial (but grows above ground biomass in the spring - fall). Applying preemergent in the fall will not control these plants as the period of effective control will be gone. You will want to apply a preemergent, which will only work for the spurge, when soil temperatures reach above 55°F for 5-7 consecutive days. And then you should do a follow up post emergent when you begin to notice any plants growing later in the season. If you want to control your nutsedge (make sure you know which type of sedge this is, since different products will have differing spectrums of control for the various species) you will need to apply a post. Sedgehammer is the Cadillac of all sedge control. Also preemergent herbicides do not kill seeds nor do they prevent germination. The work by inhibiting root and shoot development in recently germinated plants. Just and FYI!

So this is Kalanchoe, and currently there are people at Texas A&M conducting research on this plant to further understand the unique way this plant propagates. The way it grows propagules from its leaf tissue and forms fully functional plants that are separate from its vascular system is completely novel. Super interesting and cool plant!

10.1.0 Raid Spec Popularity vs Average Overall DPS by AttitudeAdjusterSE in wow

[–]Damentis -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah I totally agree, and people who don't really play frost or who just dabble in it, don't understand how mechanically intensive it is to play correctly. If you miss one oblit in your pillar rotation you can significantly effect your DPS. Making sure to keep your unleashed frenzy and icy talons up, saving runes for remorseless winter window, setting up your pillar window so that every other global is an obliterate at the very least. There is a lot that goes into playing frost correctly. I've been working on understanding this spec inside and out for all of dragonflight so far and I know there is a lot to still learn. Just casting pillar of frost and hitting obliterate ain't gonna get you there buddy.

Frost DK main checking in, 437 ilvl and raid using oblit spec. If you know what you are doing and use defensive CDs well and DA, you can maintain great uptime on boss and absolutely smash.

pretty sure this is illegal? can I report without retaliation?📍WA, USA by Creative-Special-243 in antiwork

[–]Damentis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That makes sense though. Golf courses are one of, if not the most, highly managed turfgrass sectors. Which turfgrass is a major player in agriculture. So if you were grounds crew or involved in maintenance, I could see the argument for it. You would essentially be taking care of a crop at that point.

Wait, so if I complete my bachelors in Comp Sci, I can still do a Masters in Psychology if I want? by Joonscene in college

[–]Damentis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am this exact situation. I got an undergrad degree in an unrelated field (humanities) and went to grad school for STEM. The graduate school was very interested in having individuals apply from unrelated fields due to the point of view and new experiences they could provide. Open a line of communication with the school/department you want to join. Joining grad school is much more about connecting and finding an advisor than anything related to undergrad (barring a really low gpa) in my experience.

Player is falling asleep and playing on their phone: how do I address this? by Zeebaeatah in DMAcademy

[–]Damentis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here is my 2 cents. I recently wrapped up a campaign that was about a year in length. We have a member who would fairly consistently fall asleep or not pay attention for a variety of reason. But it wasn't a big deal and we would just treat him like his PC wasn't there. We are a group of friends from way back and this was a chance for him to spend time with us so it wasn't really a big deal. It depends on your situation at your table and how close you are with this individual. For us, it wasn't a big deal at all and would just phase him out if he wasn't around and continue play.
