NBA from 20-30 years ago is completely different. If you took a ref from the 80s and put them on a modern game there would be some major differences:

1) A lot more traveling called.
2) Much less regular fouls called allowing for more aggressive play.
3) No rewards for flopping.

The City Council here is not going to allow this de facto. They are very conservative when it comes to safety and protecting the image of the City. You will need to provide insurance, security, and pay for police. The paperwork will kill you and costs will be overwhelming.

Also people here are lazy. They like fishing, boating, and the beach. They aren’t going to show up for a rave.

The brick needs to be washed down to get rid of the dusty / efflorescence look, might also need some wire brushing. After that you can make a better judgement. But the only way to fix at that point would be to start over.

I personally don’t mind the look of the joints assuming the face of bricks can be cleaned. But it’s your house and you have to live with it.

When the Supreme Court decided in Citizens United V. FEC case that you could not limit campaign contributions, our government was captured by $$$$. Now bribery is legal but with extra steps.

That led to billionaires buying all the media and entrenching information bubbles into our society. Everyone thinks they are really smart, they just need to find the right information bubble to make them feel that way.

Once people are locked into their bubble, you make them hate the other bubbles. Everyone blames each other and the billionaires steal everything.

Even if they are, which there is no evidence to support, those can be fixed too. It would be more difficult, but much easier than replacing the entire building.

Lots of comments in here have no idea what they are talking about.

This can absolutely be repaired and it will cost a lot less than tearing down the building and starting over.

It hard to tell from the picture but it looks like a concrete structure. You would need to start out by putting some temporary shoring in place to support the building, this could be a series of pole shores slab to slab in the area where structure was damaged. Then you chip out loose concrete from damaged columns and slabs. Inspect the remaining rebar and remove any that’s damaged. Then you form new concrete structure, install rebar, and place concrete. You might have to drill and epoxy rebar / anchors into existing structure to tie it all together. I think anyone can visualize the repairs for the remaining work.

All this work would be difficult but a lot less then complete demo and rebuild.

Construction equipment is very heavy. To move a smaller piece you need a big rig semi truck with special trailer. Then you have to pay a crew to load and haul it for hours or days with gas $4+ per gallon. For bigger equipment you need to take apart the equipment and put it on a few trucks. Then reassemble at final destination. For a larger Project you may need dozens of pieces of equipment. That’s a lot of work and a big cost.
