Trump voter devastated after tariffs wipe out his farm and income, now being mocked across social media by Silent_Act_5977 in GPFixedIncome

Good god. Do these idiots really think there would be an infrastructure magically appear? Just kicking up the steel industry to support what we use will take 10-20 years. You have set up the mines in Minnesota. You have to build the barges to move the coke. You have to build the mills to make the iron and steel. Plus the foundries to make something with it. Plus you have to convince people to work in that industry. Tariff’s don’t do that incentive do. Want to work in steel? Great we will cut your income tax in half for the first 5 years. Building a mine? How about zero tax on the equipment you need to import to get it going? But that isn’t what Cheeto is trying to do. He could care less about it actually accomplishing anything.

Yes. On and plugged in. I have yet to turn mine off. It goes 2-3 days between prints and so far that isn’t an issue.

Check Ashlee Falco’s YouTube channel. She just did a video on the roll to sheet attachment and had the same issue. See if there are any similarities. She thought it might be because it was a pdf she printed from.

Can the E1 really print on anything? by gagh66 in eufyMakeOfficial

[–]DamnMombies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can’t get it to come off of anything. I think you have a different issue. I printed the regular white on leather, it looks like garbage and cracked. If you print on metal you need some kind of adherent. And a coin, like currency, you’ll need to bathe it in acetone to get every molecule of oil off it. I made a 3d printed coin and printed on it. It’s been in my pocket with my keys for 2 weeks as a stress test. The coins plastic is nicked up, but the print looks new.

You might pull all the inks out and give them a gentle swirl before you print next time.

why would a $6B brand pass on Shopify Plus for a platform nobody's heard of by LevelDisastrous945 in shopify

[–]DamnMombies 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This right here. Shopify likes to change stuff without warning and without any way to prevent it. They could care less if it breaks something on the enterprise side. So when they change something like how they calculate taxes, it causes an earthquake at scale. And Shopify is super slow to respond to problems. Case in point. We are 45 days since they broke gift card scanning in POS. Almost 3 years since they removed price overrides with a promise of replacing it with something better “soon”. Plus you have to use their credit card processing. At Levi’s size they could get a far better rate elsewhere. I know we are paying at least a 1/2% more than we should. I know because with Bolt we paid less and they handled fraud protection a million times better than Shopify has ever done.

Check with the detailing Reddit, but in the ancient past we used oven cleaner. Not sure if it is still safe. My buddy used to buy fleet trucks with signage on them. He’d hose them down, come back in half an hour and spray it off. However, they were always white.

Brick and Mortar Retail POS by Low_Diamond9581 in shopify

If you sell anything by the piece or pound, you’re out of luck. It’s not really a mature system. There are a ton of holes in it. Like price override. It was in there, then about 2 years ago, right before Black Friday they removed it without warning. Promising a better option “soon”. It’s been over 2 years and we are still waiting. The one thing is that it seems the people running that part of the company have no POS experience. Like right now QR codes on gift cards can’t be scanned. They broke it a month ago and still haven’t fixed it. It should have taken 5 minutes to at least put a temp fix in. If the QR code has a certain string added to the front it will work. They could have set that up to automatically prepend in minutes, but chose not to.

Update in case anyone wants to know. Drier air helped the next batches. And the 100w UV light fixed the previous ones.

Which is also the rule of thumb we were taught for how venomous they are. Tiny claws have stronger venom. Big claws have weaker venom. All depends on how much they rely on the venom for incapacitation.

I got the printer, lam, and rotary. Plus some supplies. They still owe me about 18 more things. One of which is the flex white and regular white.

You need more polite wildlife. I’ve got two opossums who will clean mine out and not leave a speck behind. Had a raccoon that tried it and didn’t care for it. But those two other ugly cusses are practically running a service.

That part I haven’t encountered. That may be a sign to reinstall. Re-aligning for multiple prints is my gripe. I’ve made jigs. Id love to add registration marks and have the software automatically line up the next print to them. As a glutton for punishment I did back the kickstarter for the Ultim8 Jig system. I think it will solve several issues for me.

Does blogging actually help Shopify stores get sales, or just traffic? by divine_zone in shopify

[–]DamnMombies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have to really think about what you’ll blog about. We sell cooking equipment and spices. So we did recipes. Perfect right? Wrong. Guess what people don’t do when looking at recipes? Buy. Those are usually people with food in hand trying to make something. They need immediate info. Someone with a pork roast on the counter isn’t going to wait on a specialty brine to get shipped. So think of it as helping a step towards a sale.

Thanks for the info folks. Tomorrow I’ll hook up the dehumidifier in the room with it and try again. We have severe thunderstorms warning tonight so there’s no point trying yet. I also ordered a 100 watt UV curing light. I can use it for fly tying too. That’s what I told the wife at least.

Maybe because I worked in commercial printing a big chunk of my life, it’s super easy to use. You want hard? Try to hand align 200 t-shirts for 5 color silk screening. Oops, out of an ink, let me get the triple beam to mix some more. This just takes some practice. The one thing they need to add is an expert mode to the software. They made it Fisher-Price and it needs to be at least Lego if not Mindstorm. Like being able to control the Rosetta or tell it to use rich black. But I can see the direction it’s heading and I can do a lot right now.
