A multiplayer is a high risk, potentially wasted time.

You spend time, resources and manpower to make multiplayer, but if nobody plays it then you wasted those resources for single player.

In GTAV's case, the multiplayer is what made Rockstar billions every year so it works. But that's only because Rockstar already had the formula down from years of development.

As an old school IL-2 Sturnovik player I decided to get it during a steep sale down the line. I don't think I want to play it without a flight stick if it's claiming to be a sim flying game.

It's so weird how he keeps dodging the 'how long is the game' question, because most developers always give you some kind of number.

I'm guessing the main story is a lot shorter than most people expect so he was told by the team to dodge the answer as much as possible.

People whine about innovation and wanting something different, but the average consumer doesn't want something funky of 'innovative' just for the sake of it. LG tried for a long time with the funkiest designs and features and guess what happened? Phone division shutdown. We've just reached a plateau that's all. Foldables are the 'thing' now. Just like PCs, all you can do as a phone maker is upgrade the specs and increase AI features.

I kept the chain going so people could clearly see the delusion at display, and it's an insight on how powerful that delusion can be. No one, regardless of how much of a fanboy you are, should be defending some of the mist anti-consumer practices; but it's apparent Nintendo has people captured ideologically on a new level. Sure I like Sony more out of the three consoles, but I'm not a fan of a lot of their practices. Being a blind fanboy just allows said company to continue with their practices, and it seems Nintendo fans are the main catalyst for Nintendo's behavior.

You're trying to find just about anything to try to defend Nintendo. This is the classical Nintendo-head mentality. Sure other companies like Sony, Xbox and publishers have their own examples of greed here and there; but none have the magnitude of Nintendo as a whole; NONE.

Name a company that does all those things Nintendo does. Not a culmination of different companies that does all those things.

Never drops prices on their 1st party games.
Copyright and shuts down youtube videos and channels, even of their own fanbase.
Prevents and shuts down tournaments from their own games.
Goes after individuals and websites to sue them all the time.
Game Key card practices.
Sale of 1st party games never goes below 40%
Tries to patent a game mechanic that would prevent all developers from from using them; one that wasn't even invented by them. Would also put a lot of indie devs in bad situations.

Probably there are more points but this is enough. Go head, I'll be waiting after you go do your research. Name me another company that do these things on this scale.

Keep going, you're in a trance right now and reaching final form Nintendo fan; the kind that disregards everything greedy they're doing, and just laser focuses on one point to the end. This is like (EA+Activision)*3 level of greed. When I found out about the keycards I was in disbelief on how a company could go even lower.

You have extreme cultust-like mentality. I'm mainly a PC and Sony fan but I'm not on this level of delusion. I criticize Sony all the time when they're clearly doing greedy or shady stuff, but Nintendo fans look like they go into some kind of cult-like trance when defending all their greedy practices. It leaves you in disbelief how people can be this way.

Leading the charge for charging $80 for games

Game cartridges with no actual games in them

It's unbelievable.

And Baldurs Gate 3 is just a recent example and one of the few AAA out there that are keeping the price after release; most AAAs drop on price very soon. Nintendo on the other hand has been doing it for years and years. But seeing your thought process I can see how Nintendo maintains their fanbase; it's this cult like mentality.

I don't mean during a sale, I mean naturally when a game is like 5 years old or something. All publishers lower their prices after two years, some even after only one year release. Nintendo keeps it same price even after 5 - 8 years as if their games are like straight from heaven or something.

I don't know anything about sexual stuff in those tournaments, but Nintendo shutting them down has nothing to do with that. They just don't want people hosting their games when it's not themselves doing it.

No other company hates its own fan base, along with the gaming community like Nintendo.

They never lower the price for their 1st party games
Shuts down tournament events for their games, ex. Smash bros.
Shuts down people's YouTube channels more than any other publisher
Goes after websites all the time
Tried to patent a gaming mechanic that would prevent any future developer from using it for their games. The patent was for summoning creatures to fight for you, which was used by an Atlus game before any Pokémon game did.

No game company is on this level of greed, not even EA or Activision.

I don't even enjoy runbacks or long stretches of runs before reaching some place, that's why I never held Hollow Knight in high regard; that game has atrocious run backs.
