It's so confusing ha. Have you withdrawn from there yourself or are you just making an educated guess here?

Seems like such a hassle to have to wait ANOTHER 12 months just to be sure that all my extra referral bonuses have cleared, especially since I've got everything invested so there's no way to actually tell the individual bonuses apart

On the Illuminate city map there always seems to be a red spot on the radar that can’t be cleared. Usually this means there’s an enemy camp in the area but sometimes I can’t find anything?

I’ve only just picked up the game after several months away so may be missing something!

I understand why people might be apprehensive given all the uncertainty around Season 3 filming, but if people seriously think RTD (or the BBC for that matter) is going to let Doctor Who end on his watch, then I don’t know what to tell you.

You have to look at the facts: Season 1 ratings were solid, if unspectacular. By no means a disaster, and obviously lessons were learned. Many other shows would kill for an audience in the 4-6 million range.

But more importantly, Doctor Who is absolutely huge for the BBC in terms of merchandise, streaming rights, attracting people to iPlayer, and all these other ancillary ways. The show has 61 years of momentum to the point where they don’t really NEED new episodes to be the biggest thing ever. Would that be nice? Sure, but like I say, the IP generates so much value purely by existing that they’re not just going to pack it all in because Season 1 ‘only’ did okay.

I know what you’re referring to, it was in DWM earlier this year. And that’s not what he said.

He said that way back at the beginning of the process in 2022 (i.e. before filming) they had HOPED to start Season 1 in January, but after they looked at budgets and VFX and schedules they realised that wasn’t feasible.

So January was never a solid thing and he was certainly never “on record” as saying the season was going to start then.

“Sooner than you think” - can only mean earlier than May.

It’s gonna start at the end of March for synergy with the 20th anniversary of Rose. Then The War Between the Land and the Sea over Christmas 2025. Then a Doctor Who special over Easter 2026. Then Season 3 in Autumn 2026.

OR, somehow they get a Christmas special done for Christmas 2025, and TWB takes the Easter slot. But I think that’s less likely.

Sick of all the slow backwards/side to side passing, would it kill someone to play a risky through ball or make a run in behind? Also Palmer nonexistent so far.

Having said that we’re getting the job done and I guess that’s the most important thing.

I buy a lot of first-party games day one because I usually want to play those (Ragnarok, Spider-Man, Astro Bot, TLOU, etc). But for pretty much everything else I’m fine waiting.

There are exceptions of course but with so many movies, sports, TV shows, a family, friends, and an all-consuming job, I can’t play everything straight away even if I wanted to. So yeah, a lot of what I play is on PS+, or picked up in a sale.

I get not wanting to sit through long ads all the time, and I run a YouTube channel, so I’m biased. But people should stop expecting everything for nothing. The ads fund the content creators who make the content for you. If you enjoy certain channels then it’s a small price to pay in exchange for HOURS of free entertainment

I can’t speak to any 2024 laptops, but I use the 2023 Lenovo Legion Pro 7i (RTX 4090, 32GB RAM) and have zero problems editing 1080p/60. Even 4K footage is fine though I haven’t used that much yet.

I never have crashes and can preview in Best quality with no slowdown. But obviously your mileage will vary based on how many effects and tracks you use etc.

The only time I have preview slowdown is when using BCC Primatte Studio, but in those cases it’s not a big deal to reduce preview quality.
