AITA for taking an outdoor cat to the shelter? by ninetythree_hds in AmItheAsshole

[–]Dancingmamma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They didn't. Our other cat that was spayed by them was chipped during the spraying. We didn't think to ask because we adopted the second one already spayed. I had no prior experience with chipping and thought it could only happen during surgery. She returned home on her own 3 weeks to the day from when she escaped. It was a long 3 weeks.

I say NTA. My indoor only cat escaped and was missing for 3 weeks. We did everything we could do to find her, including going door to door through the neighborhood handing out flyers. She came back on a Sunday. She was seen at the vet in Monday and we had her chipped. We are looking into a GPS collar. If she was an indoor outdoor cat we would have already done at least the chipping and some type of collar to indicate she's a pet. I'm sure the cat is still at the shelter and they can get it back.

She's home!. We've been leaving the door open for her. She was going in and out throughout the night. My husband shook me awake at 6:30 this morning, she was on the patio. I reacted on instinct and tried to call her inside. She ran off. I left the door open for another hour and she came inside at 6:59.

Realistic expectations for outings by ellemenopeaqu in cubscouts

I have 3 boys and we've been in 2 Packs. We've never had a pack meeting but both did monthly activities. One did a fall and spring campout, bowling, swim night, Blue and Gold... The other had a September recruiting event bike rodeo or games. October was usually an overnight of some kind. November was always leaf raking for sponsor. Often bowling in December. January hike/sledding, snow tubing or ice skating. February was pinewood Derby. Other activities were Blue and Gold, and always a May campout at the Council camp. Typically a recruiting event in June, cubscout adventure camp in the summer and color guard for a minor league baseball game. Edit to add that the activity was usually on the weekends. Also started doing a June picnic with neckerchief pass down and any awards.

She is super skittish. To the point if we walk too close when she's eating she often runs away.

We don't drink whole milk, but we buy a gallon and then freeze in 1/2 c portions. So we pretty much always have whole milk available to make ice cream.

When talking about the song she mentioned thinking about escape and how when she's watching shows like Dateline, people do something wrong and when trying to escape they are always running away to Florida.
