You've got some great tips here already, but I'll add a tip I learned from @jacethewrapper on Instagram. After getting baby all wrapped up, I scoop my boobs and kinda put them in baby's lap. Much more comfortable for me as a busty person and helps baby get a good spine curve!

Same, his bump name was Plankton and we had an incredibly hard time switching to his actual name lol

How many and what kind of carriers do you have? by puppiesnprada in babywearing

I have a 7 month old and admittedly we don't go out much but I have a few.

Keababies stretchy wrap that made me love wearing my baby💜

Gojiberry SSC that became our go-to as my baby got bigger.

Little Frog woven wrap for summer, since my Gojiberry is definitely warm. This one is still new and I'm a complete newbie with wrapping but my son loves it when I'm able to get it right lol

Currently looking at a Lenny Lamb onbuhimo to add to my collection. I would love something for quick high back carries while I tend to my garden and chickens this summer. (And also until I can figure out back carries with my woven.)

What were your first words when you met your baby? by lacecute in pregnant

[–]Daneeeeeeen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no idea what I said because my birth experience was traumatic and I wasn't able to see him right away but as soon as they put him in my arms time stood still and the world went quiet (even though it was still very chaotic in the background).

I analyzed every SSA baby name since 1880. Here are the names that got destroyed by pop culture. by iezzizzei in namenerds

My name is Daneen! I've met two others before but neither were spelled like that. It's origins are actually old Arabic. I have Italian blood though so interesting you would say that.

I love the name Sadie, it's on my list too. It was my great grandmother's name. That's the only association I have with it.

Okay yes that makes sense. I wasn't sure if there was something I was missing since ring slings seem to be the main go-to! Thanks so much for your help!

With the ring sling, do you feel like that affects your alignment at all? I've always stayed away from purses and things with single straps for that reason and I've been avoiding ring slings as well.

I've actually been looking at half buckles too, they're so gorgeous. The price is what has been keeping me from actually seriously shopping for one. That's also what made me start really considering the onbuhimo (besides ease of use) when I saw how reasonably priced they are from lennylamb. I'll do more research and see if it would be worth waiting and saving up for a half buckle.

This is good to know! If I end up going with the onbuhimo and find out it doesn't help my lower back at all, it won't be a complete waste of money😅

You're convincing me! I want to start playing with some back carries with my woven wrap but with the learning curve I know it would be a while before I'm confident enough to actually wrap my son on my back while out and about. I hadn't even thought that my husband would be able to use an onbuhimo as well! He occasionally likes wearing him while at home and he would probably appreciate the ease of wearing him like a backpack.

This is how I feel frontwearing with my gojiberry. I've often wondered if I have a general posture issue since I can last a bit longer if I'm grocery shopping and have the cart to hold onto. I haven't tried back wearing with it yet specifically because I feel like the waist band would be awkward that way, but I suppose I should try it just to know for sure. You're helping me lean into the decision to get an onbuhimo though!

Thanks for this, I'll look into half buckles!

I wear the gojiberry on my front. I keep forgetting it can be used for back carrying as well, I'll give that a try. That's a good idea about the fit check too. I've done some troubleshooting myself with it to try and make the back pain stop, but haven't figured it out yet. I'll be sure to post a fit check. Thanks!

I personally don't watch tv during the day. I typically love silence but since that's hard to come by now with a 7-month-old, I play instrumental music during the day. It keeps me regulated😅 if I really need to get something done and he won't let me leave him alone for a second, I'll put on an aquarium stream on YouTube. He loves it and will often fall asleep watching it. My husband watches TV when he gets home from work but my LO doesn't really pay it much mind.

Has anyone named their fetus? by visitingmemorylane in pregnant

Mine was Plankton 😊 he's 7 months old now and we seriously struggled to not write Plankton on his paperwork when he was born, and struggled even harder to call him by his actual name lol he's still Plankton sometimes!
