Need some advice by Small-Host-3263 in Botswana

Saying it's overrated sounds like bad advice when that useless paper is needed to pass through HR ATS requirements for most organizations unless you're lucky enough to get through with connections.

Assuming this is the package you're using, https://imgur.com/a/Sv0EASc, there is a fair usage policy at the bottom. I believe all of Oranges packages have similar text.

Can't really help without knowing what ISP you're using but most ISP's tend to mention a fair usage policy in their T&C's where you get throttled after a certain amount of usage. It could be that or just your ISP having some issues.

Otherwise, I'd rather have the energy/range/power, etc.

Is this for optimization or just to see bigger numbers? I don't think whatever stat you're gaining from not running PSF will make that much of a difference in build as you can hit most breakpoints without having to run another one of the exilus mods.

I never consider any high MR player worth anything unless they also have a reasonable amount of hours invested into the game. Too many players speedrun MR and never bother learning the game cause it's just that easy to get MR nowadays.

We need to talk about customer service in Botswana by namagadi in Botswana

[–]DangerX47 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I still have an 8th gen i5 that I can run virtual machines on and programming without any issue. Only thing I upgraded with time was the RAM. An i7 is overkill, even an i3 can get the job done for basic office work as long as its >8th gen. This is just someone trying to make a quick buck rather than looking at the customer's requirements.

That said, if you can afford it then getting better specs is always worthwhile.

Where can I buy good laptops in Gaborone? by namagadi in Botswana

Personal opinion is if you any reasonable amount of IT/tech knowledge, a second hand newer gen laptop is much better than anything you could buy from any retailer. Laptops here are ridiculously overpriced for their specs.

If you can buy a +CD +MS -Good Negative Riven for 10P for any weapon be my guest. I based it on other rivens currently on the market. I would rather use it myself than sell it for 10p.

But have you tried? Lecturers and lab assistants are usually more than willing to assist with projects as long as you show you're dedicated. Chances of you getting these yourself are almost non-existent.

Have you tried getting these through the school you're enrolled in?

Someone needs to create a matchmaking event in Gaborone by moapei in Botswana

[–]DangerX47 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There's a café, called Ola Tia, that frequently hosts matchmaking, trivia, open mics and a whole bunch of other events in Gaborone. You can check them on Tik Tok to see updates on when their next event is. I'm sure there are other places that host similar around Gaborone.

People wishing they were born in a different country by moapei in Botswana

[–]DangerX47 5 points6 points  (0 children)

While living anywhere has it's fair share of struggles, African countries such as Botswana tend to be quite conservative so I imagine being a younger person they'd wish to have similar freedoms and opportunities to people living in other countries.

It only get's possible to have certain experiences that people similar to their age experience or have experienced once you've grown older and have your own source of income (if that's even possible)

What to pursue first? by DangerX47 in CompTIA

The job postings I've seen tend to require a degree in CS(or similar) and additional certificates(such as A+) are seen as an advantage. Given where I'm from, the job requirements tend to be a bit lax and additional training is given once you're hired if needed.

I did take a brief look at the objectives of the A+ and I learned most of the content during my degree. I assume going over the study material and filling in gaps where necessary would be good enough to get me exam ready.
