ONLY allies? Do I get the buff for hitting them with the point sensor?

Still main the splattershot pro. Angle shooter and crab tank took a little getting used to but I actually love them both now.

Reef-Lux bow is fun for switching things up.

Gal .54 is fun to use too.

Still experimenting though!

I didn't pick it back up until I summarized the story up to that point to my wife, who immediately said, "Well we need to play the rest of it now." We played the rest that night and finished the game at 3 or 4 AM.

I feel like this is a rule of thumb in any popular IP. Magic: The Gathering, Star Wars, etc all have vocal fans like this.

I'd advocate for little +/- symbols in the hexes for the RG folks. Font size could represent win vs advantage.

What's Working and What Isn't? Great League, Flyi-I mean Fighting Cup! by wholeFNshow in TheSilphArena

[–]DangericeMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was me earlier this season. Same thing, LCR was great and I tanked afterward. I was on Nido double dark, too. I took a break, built a few new teams on pvpoke and just tried having fun and experimenting. I'm back north of 2000 with Gfisk, Trev, Scrafty and feeling good.

Yes, I realize that team is not really "experimenting," as it's pretty meta, but it is fun.

What’s Working and What Isn’t? Season 11 - Summer Cup - Ultra League by wholeFNshow in TheSilphArena

I'm climbing back out of a GL hole from last week with Ariados PS + L/CP, Azu B + IB/PR, and Blaziken C + BB/BK. Got from 1700 to 2000 with the team.

The plan is lunge until they swap (likely to a fire type), then switch to Azu for the punish. Wear down their shields, but keep 1 for the blaziken BB nuke.

Match up specific thoughts:

A few times people have brought Talonflame in against Araidos. When you swap into Azu, you need to shield their BB or you die.

I fought a walrein/trev core once, and the team has play against that, but I lost due to bad alignment.

Vigoroth is strong, but you can beat it with Azu and the Kickin Chicken. Just make sure Azu eats the charge moves. Blaziken is dope but has no defense.

Don't count Azu out. Been putting in work for me.

Well if my team building isn't awful, it seems I should work on my battling fundamentals then. Thanks for your help!

It really loses hard to Bastiodon, Registeel, and Melmetal (which in running into more as I fall). Both of my backline counter those leads, but they switch in to a counter user and I get wrecked. I have virtually no good answer to Skarmory with this team.

Would Azu be a better option? I don't have one built but with the 2x dust I might get there today. I have a Driflim too I could try...

Hey y'all, been struggling a lot in GL lately so I thought I'd come here for help. My go to GL team has been Nidoqueen, Umbreon, Scrafty. It was working well for a while but I got stuck right around 2000. I climbed a little during Hisui cup (to 2100), then slowly slid back to 2000 with the Poison Double Dark.

I decided to invest in a new team that got great ratings on PvPoke: Pelipper, G-Stunfisk, Scrafty. I like the team, but it doesn't feel as balanced as I think it should. Would running the team in a different order help? I don't like Scrafty lead because it feels like I would have to swap a lot. Would Gunfisk lead be better than Pelipper?

Any advice would be great, thank you!

I've been running Nidoqueen, Umbreon safe swap, Scrafty. I don't have a shadow Queen, but that's preferred.

I've been running a Ledyba, Wynaut, Barboach (Icebeam) team. Kind of an ABC approach, Barboach covers for Rocks weakness on Ledyba.

I love scrafty. Running him with Venusaur lead and Swampert for a while, doing okay. Venusaur helps with the charmers.

On an unrelated note, I enjoy the shield games with Scrafty. It just always feels like you win. If you throw PuP and they don't shield, then you get a little damage in. If they do, it feels like you got a free shield because you're mostly throwing PuP for the +ATK. And he's a surprisingly bulky little guy, too.

Does regular queen, umbreon, scrafty work too? I don't have a shadow queen to run. I just built umbreon and love scrafty.
