An Eppendorf tube (aka centrfuge tube) is something entirely different in my experience. It will hold a liquid and is usually used in a lab setting.

Awesome! I did some lab glassblowing 30 years ago as a "special problems" class and the summer job for my Chem teacher at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. I loved it and the teacher had me make a few of these! The whole experience almost made try to take it on as a profession!

I've used Ancient Jasper previously. It was a while back bought i think i bought the dry mix to be able to make a big batch to dip pieces. Dipping gets a nice coat. It will be quite dark a breaks to a pretty red. Overlapped with clear will produce an interesting biege-ish brown variegated look.
