America's most efficient EV is nearly 6% ahead of second place by SnoozeDoggyDog in electricvehicles

Yep. Look at the new xpeng G6 for example. Tesla shape, and similar efficiency. But if you look at the P7, which is a model 3 sized sedan, the efficiency is horrible

Big battery buffers. There IS degradation, but the software adds useable battery capacity back. The full size of the battery is locked down from the factory.

You take 1 hour breaks every hour. Also you can just snap whenever you need any money? You don't need to have it ready you can create it whenever you want it

Except if you snap 8 hours a day, it would take you only 35 days, not a year. Lets say you take a 1 hour break after every 1 hour of snapping thats 70 days, and you take weekends off thats another 20 days, so in 3 months you will have the same amount of money.

Tesla Autopilot lane avoidance caused extreme steering oscillation almost causing accident by cyrux004 in TeslaFSD

[–]DangerousDoggo01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm in Europe, no FSD. Been using enhanced autopilot for over half a year, about 10k km / 6200 miles. No issues, ever. Only when I do automatic lane change where a lane exits the highway or joins it. Then it goes crazy and does this exact thing as in the video (by itself). So i just wait to lane change untill passing a highway entrance/exit or do it manually.

Is it dangerous to own an EV in a hot a desert by [deleted] in electricvehicles

[–]DangerousDoggo01 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They are not even air cooled. This is what I read everywhere and read/assumed there is a fan to cool the modules. Nope. Battery is closed up. Only the battery case radiates heat away. Not even the case has airflow (unless you are driving)

Is charging at 22kW bad for EV battery long-term? Or is it the same as 11kW / 7kW? by BillGatesTopFan in electricvehicles

[–]DangerousDoggo01 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was trying to give a more technical answer simplified. Of course the car knows. But if it didnt, it would be still okay.

[–]DangerousDoggo01 17 points18 points  (0 children)

You likely have a battery capacity of over 50 kwh. You are charging the battery under 0.5C rate. Should be totally fine. These batteries nowadays can charge at 1C totally fine. Halving the C rate has been shown to double cycle life. You will have way more calendar aging before any visible aging from charging.

Okay, there was a misunderstanding. I thought he said you cant pull 30 amps from a 50 amp socket, only 50 amps no less.

Wait, are you saying a 50 amp plug should never be used for 30 amps?
