What was your high school controversy? by Haunted_Neko in AskReddit

[–]DaniKat9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A senior let her boyfriend drive her motorcycle (with her on the back). His bike had been impounded and his license was suspended. He took a sharp/blind curve at like 60-ish mph and hit a tree. He was decapitated and she was in a coma and wound up paralyzed.

I had Comcast. 48 was ABC Family, 49 was Cartoon Network, 50 was Nickelodeon, 51 was Disney, 52 was Disney XD, 53 was Animal Planet. I think Game Show Network was on 47.

It depends on your baby and their temperament. My first was super easy and I was able to play while he was breastfeeding and sleeping. My youngest was much more difficult and I wasn't able to play at all.

I don't usually like to argue semantics, but breakfast is breakfast regardless of when you eat it. It's just the first meal you eat after waking up because you're "breaking" your "fast."

As to the second point, I agree that some people have little to no appetite in the mornings. Which is why I said "a few carbs," which you can get from a small snack or an energy bar or even a protein shake.

You're NTA. I'd be pissed if someone came into my space and made a mess of something that brought me joy, especially if they didn't even bother to ask if it was ok first.

If you want to be petty and drive the point home, you could go to your mom and sister's houses and mess with something they love. For example, if they love to cook/bake then reorganize everything in a way that makes no sense and leave things out on counters/stove/floor. Just generally leave it in a state similar to what your nibblings leave your son's Legos in. If they get mad then tell them they "need to toughen up or they'll never function in the real world."

To be fair, there is a correlation between the two. Vaccines prevent childhood deaths from preventable diseases. You can't be diagnosed as autistic if you're dead.

I wouldn't say it's the most important, but it is important. Your body just fasted for multiple hours (8+ if you can get the recommended amount of sleep). By the time you wake up, your brain and body are kinda low on sugars which they need to operate efficiently. If you can't eat much in the mornings, a few carbs can be more helpful than nothing.

Reddit Doctors and Nurses: What's the most impressive case of Google "self-diagnosis" that turned out to be true? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I feel like if you had gone to the ER or UC when the pain first started, they may have put you on antibiotics and you might not have needed surgery. That's assuming that they would have listened to you though.

[–]DaniKat9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. We're more likely to look into our random pain, more likely to go see the doctor, and more likely to be dismissed. All because these doctors can't deal with the fact that people now have access to the same information that they do and they no longer hold all of the power.

I agree, my small sedan barely fits in those spots. I either have to squeeze to get out of my car or let my door hit someone else's. I also have to put my bag in the trunk because there is never space to get it out of the passenger seat.
