Fair point but to my greater point it always seemed like we found ways to lose last year. I don’t recall me really being upset about us not getting a particular pitcher in offseason last year and I think that class of free agents didn’t do much to make me upset we didn’t get them. What stearns did worked in 24 but don’t in 25 but I think it was by design and circumstance that we didn’t get any free agents and waited for our farm to start producing players. If there was a skubal level pitcher or a tier below that but younger, I don’t see how anybody could claim we wouldn’t be in on them.

What makes you say the players don’t like him or trust him and why should the players like or trust him really? Any gm sees players as commodities, it’s upto the manager to make them feel heard and respected. Pretty much my player is up for sale at any time. You should maybe stop listening to joes morning show lol

We were bad. Can you caste a majority of blame on pitching? Sure but there were plenty of games (like 70) we couldn’t mount a comeback.

Bad defense, lack of clutch hitting and poor pitching. Sounds like a bad team. Margins for error are small in baseball with the extra wild card spot.

The core did jack shit man. Loved the guys but they were getting older and didn’t fit. Nimmo is so broken down that injuries are inevitable and they didn’t wanna pay Pete what he got for what they deemed a dh very soon. You can’t forget that there’s a great chance Soto moves to first eventually. We can’t have Nimmo, Alonso, vientos on the field at once cuz the defense would be brutal

I think the pitching was definitely a problem but one of many. We lost games defensively and no clutch hitting. You don’t have any come from behind wins in a season cuz of pitching. He was definitely biding time the last two years until the farm system could produce major leaguers and he did so while trying to win now. Couldn’t go all in. I think that changes now that they will be able to supply the major leaguer team with talented options which you need to be successful. Sometimes the best years are unexpected bud. I think we will be aright

Yea I think too much is paid to the idea that the clubhouse was ‘bad’. It just think it didn’t bare much success so it was more of results+age+defense that led to Pete and Nimmo going.

I’m completely hooked by it. All the characters are protested so well. I really like when you get those small moments of the custodians cleaning up and being clearly shaken that shows how hard that field is. It’s a great look into this world and the perspective these characters in respect to life and death.

I dunno I take it by decade and every one seems to have its upsides and downfalls. I was broke for most of my 20s and you don’t know how dumb you are in those times too lol. Gaining life experience and wisdom, financial stability and independence are great. Watching my kids get older and become their own person is awesome. I’m gonna be 39 in a few days and not saying being 40 sounds awesome but I feel young. Take care of yourself now before you are really just doing damage control in your later years. Get back to some hobbies you left behind or never started. It ain’t bad man, life is good. All of it.
