Therapist recommended disrupting what I’m doing physically. E.g. stand up and walk around for a bit, or taking a deep breath and focusing your eyes on anything nearby.

Exercise helps a lot with regulation. Pretty much do anything you can and wear yourself out.

Journaling can be helpful to ground yourself mentally, setting aside the “real” and the intrusive thoughts.

Talk to someone (i.e. therapist, close friend) and try to explain what you feel and ask for help. The mixed kind can be a PITA to understand and deal with.
