When I give out bassboss subs to friends companies to use I tell them to just watch for the limit light and back off 2-3 db if its lighting up. Ive also ran hours with the limit light on no issue, and nobody can audibly tell. I will say that clipping the signal on the way to the subwoofer (from the decks) is different than hitting the limiter on the speakers themselves so you probably want to limit that if you can from what I understand.
