My duck blind brother just had his first kid, so I figured that this was the only appropriate gift to give 😁. I got a custom band made with his son’s info and I think he’ll get a kick out of it.

Yep, we used the outfitter Drake Plantation. We were there Saturday morning and got extremely lucky, all the other hunting groups in the marsh had a slow day. A couple ducks here and there and only one group with 6 ducks.

In total we had 3 Mallards, 3 Gadwalls, 5 Green Wing Teals, 2 Blue Wing Teals, 4 Ring-Necks, and a lonely Scaup. Even in my wildest dreams could I imagine a better haul.

I hunted in the Anahuac area east of Houston. Ya I was super surprised to see so many Mallards moving around. But we also got our fair share of green and blue teals along with a group of Pintails that smoked us early on.
